Sloshing water noise in my Subaru Baja 2006
I live in Hawaii on the Big Island. I have just started to notice a sloshing noise in what seems my door panels. And as like all the other post after driving it around the noise is gone, I guess the water has drained out. Today I thought I'll look under the car and noticed some plugs under the door panels. After moving these plugs around some water just drained out of them. ... Read More...
Re: will they [arkitect]
Subaru shares all of its platforms, except the Beca. Impreza and Forester are on the same platform. Outback and Legacy are on the same platform. If I had to guess, there won't be a new Baja. But my hope would be that it would at least be on the latest Ouback platform, but better (for market demands) on the Beca platform. I have stopped holding my breath though, Subaru ... Read More...

Question about Price, Incentives, and options...
Anyone have the inside scoop for the incentives for 2006? The current promotions end 01/03/2006 (they've been extedned once here in Texas). I read post #38 "for a automatic 2005 Subaru Baja Baja Turbo for $22,795 (Installed options include: FLOOR MATS, ALL WEATHER AUTO-DIMMING MIRROR/COMPASS, BED EXTENDER, CARGO NET BED). The Invoice Price $24,195. The ... Read More...
Prices for '05 and What's new for 06?
I'm glad to see that the Baja will be around for 2006. Here in Dallas, TX, there doesn't seem to be that many Baja's running around (I think I see more Lamborghini's running around actually). Question 1) When will the dealerships start expecting to get in the 2006 models (or better yet, when will Subaru start trying to clear out their 2005's? But then again, the dealerships ... Re: quandry... [wht1986]
I am pretty much decided to wait until 2006 to change out my Forester. It looks like the Ridgeline sales are slowing and prices should get closer to invoice. And, I still get 27-28 mpg in my Forester. It is the best car for me for the next 10 months or so. Hopefully Subaru will do something special for the Baja to revive sales. John Read More...
Re: More HP for 06 Baja? [demoncleaner]
not sure. Bob posted a while back the new 2006 engines that Subaru was certifying, and we did not see anything "new" for the Baja. I would like to see the latest turbo engine in the Baja. IIRC they have also made some efficiency improvements in the new Turbos. It is still something that I am debating for 2006. But, if there are any rumors about a larger Baja then I will ... Re: Sad to hear the Baja may be discontinued [herbv1]
I sent an e-mail to SOA and asked them about the Baja for 2006 and later. They replied with the following message. Herb ******************************************************************************************- ** Thank you for visiting the Subaru Web site and for your message. I am aware that the 2006 Baja models should be available at dealerships ... Read More...
Baja for 2006 R.I.P. why ?????
In the process of negotiating a deal on a 2003 Baja am I going to have problems getting parts or accessories etc. Is this vehicle that bad that on top of never advertising its fate is done. Should I just walk away from the table? Feeling a little torn any suggestions or comments. This vehicle is brand new and I like it but not if Subaru can't get parts down the road. Cheers ...
