Re: Subaru Baja Electrical Issues [pf_flyer]
I seem to be having a strange electrical issue in my 2005 Baja Sport. My radio reception has a lot of static on every station accept my local Public Radio Station (less than a mile away) I also noticed that if the radio is on and I turn on the headlights I get a static noise as the lights are being switched on. I get the same noise when stepping on the brake. This problem ... Read More...
Subaru Baja Prices Paid and Buying Experience
Question about Price, Incentives, and options...
Anyone have the inside scoop for the incentives for 2006? The current promotions end 01/03/2006 (they've been extedned once here in Texas). I read post #38 "for a automatic 2005 Subaru Baja Baja Turbo for $22,795 (Installed options include: FLOOR MATS, ALL WEATHER AUTO-DIMMING MIRROR/COMPASS, BED EXTENDER, CARGO NET BED). The Invoice Price $24,195. The ... Read More...

Re: 2005 Baja Sport Manual [adashan]
yes, because there is currently an SOA $1000 rebate on '05 Sport models. However I suspect you are going to have to work to get it down in price. I haven't been able to get invoice pricing on Subarus yet, but this varies with dealer, car turnover and availability, etc.. John Read More...
Interesting...
I thought Subaru of Canada had stopped importing the Baja after the 2003 model year, and that all Bajas on sale there were merely leftover '03 models. Apparently that's not true, as there is a 2005 Baja sold in Canada. http://www.subaru.ca/ Bob Read More...
Subaru Baja Prices Paid and Buying Experience
Prices for '05 and What's new for 06?
I'm glad to see that the Baja will be around for 2006. Here in Dallas, TX, there doesn't seem to be that many Baja's running around (I think I see more Lamborghini's running around actually). Question 1) When will the dealerships start expecting to get in the 2006 models (or better yet, when will Subaru start trying to clear out their 2005's? But then again, the dealerships ... Why You may NOT want to buy a 2005 Subaru Baja
Well.... I must say I was one of those eager new buyers , excited to make the transition from a Honda to a more rugged, durable , well appointed Subaru and Selected the Baja Turbo with Leather interior . 7400 miles later, my short block is replaced because the engine mysteriously " threw a rod". 300 miles after that , back to the Subaru dealership because they apparently ... Bigger Baja
Does anyone know if Subaru is planning to use the 2005 Outback Platform for a future Baja. Read More...
just got an e-mail
from Honda, apparently their SUT is coming out in 2005 with Full time AWD, variable torque, V-6, 5,000 lb tow rating. They don't seem to be thinking the pass through is essential. Again, I think that Honda is on to something here. If Subaru would super-size their Baja, the two would go head to head. John Read More...
no title
Autoweek has an article on that this week. Subaru is saying it's 50/50 right now, cancel or update. It would go on until at least MY2006, they say, which is strange since the 2005 Legacy is already on the new platform. Baja was projected to sell 20k per year but they're on pace for 9k this year, even after the turbo was intro'd. -juice Read More...
