Hate to say this. but Subaru will not help you. I spent three years trying to sort out a shuddering transmission on a 2008 Tribeca, while still under warranty, and they refused to help...going so far as to send me a letter stating that my case was closed. I sold it and bought a BMW X5.diesel. Expensive but light years ahead of the Tribeca. My Tribeca is still on the lot ... Read More
I have a 2007 Subaru Tribeca B9 and am looking to swap the East coast CD for a West coast CD. Is the version dependent on the year of Tribeca? If anyone has one and is willing to trade, please e-mail me privately. Thanks - Pat
My wife ran out of gas in her 2007 B9 Tribeca. I put a few gallons in it to get it to a gas station, but it will not start. The engine will turn over, but will not start. Any ideas?
Speaking of real-world owner ratings the results appear to be very consistent all across the three major consumer ratings sites. Hundreds of owners rated their cars. Sometimes you see some junkie rating there, but overall it’s much more objective vs. some currupted magazine "comparo". It might appear, that differences are small but they do reflect a trend well: Edmunds.com 2007 Honda Pilot 8.6 2007 Subaru B9 Tribeca 8.9 2007 Nissan Murano ... Read More

I did glance at the "B9 Tribeca Changes I'd Like To See" discussion and see that Subaru really hear its customers (or at least they read Edmunds.com forum :-)). The major points that I take from that discussion are: 1) Underpowered engine 2) Front end styling 3) Lack of legroom for 3rd row seats 4) Poor rear visibility 5) Small gas tank I see they addressed #4 in 2007 model, and ... Welcome dijen. Welcome aboard, tahoe524. Subaru is currently providing a $2,000 cash incentive on leases of the 2007 B9 Tribeca. Make sure to take this cash into account when negotiating your truck's capitalized cost. As far as Subaru's lease program for this vehicle goes, its money factor and residual value vary by term and mileage allowance. For now I will assume that you are interested in a 36 month lease with 15,000 miles ... Read More

I'm glad that you found that info helpful, ed. You can convert money factors into approximate APR equivalents by multiplying them by 2400. So a money factor of .00230 would be equivalent to an interest rate of around 5.52%. I love seeing 100s of the othe competing mid size suv and I'm the only B9 on the road... That's fun for you and me, but not so much fun for Subaru. Subaru's a small car company... what's US marketshare, somewhere around 1.5%? And B9 Tribecas are a small portion of Subaru's sales. When Subaru only sells 2000 of them a month and they've only been on the market a year, you're not going to see very many on the road. Compare that to Nissan Murano, for example. Nissan has about 4-5 times greater marketshare than Subaru, so right of the bat you'd ... Read More
The CX-7 shares its powerplant with the Mazdaspeed 6, so its most crucial part is not all-new. It requires premium fuel. If your driving habits are average, premium will increase your fuel bill by only about $250/year. Check out the CX-7 forums here on Edmunds to see how owners have felt about their vehicles, see if there are any recurring problems. I'd be a little more wary of the RDX/CRV, since ... Read More
You weren't being harsh Joe. I understand the disappointment of those 2004 TSX owners now that a similar situation has happened to us with the pending introduction of the 2007 Tribeca. I wish our B9 had the rear sensors, memory seat, and XM integrated radio. Am I angry at Subaru? Of course not. Do I wish our car had those things? Sure.
"People are typically advised not to buy first model year cars for quality purposes. If it were not for the buyers of these cars, the 2007 would not have the updates that it has. The caveat to that is the next model year gets more features due to the diligence (by filling out all those surveys) of first year owners. If you think about this model- 1st year buyers take all ... 2007 B9 Tribeca is expected to be unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show next week. One of the rumored changes is availability of a mesh grill. Not sure if it'll be black, body color or chrome. Lack of sonar/rear camera and memory seats steered me away from the Tribeca (and a little bit of fuel worries as well). It is great they are actually listening to consumers and adding the little things that make a difference. Too bad I already spend my money on new 06 Outback this year.
