Review

It has been a great car for the price and I wanted something good on gas and the interior size was a big surprise.I will be selling mine soon as I want to go back to AWD and something with more of a luxury feel.

Favorite Features

Ipod compatible and gas mileage, easy manual gearbox

Suggested Improvements

Stereo Ipod control too finicky, goodyear RSA tires bad in the wet,seats could use more support, ride quality is sometimes bumpy but it could be the tires, but hey it was $16k new!

I really like the Scion. Very roomy with great interior.

Suggested Improvements

The brake system does not seem reliable. Having issue with brake pads not wearing evenly. This causes the car to feel like you are rubbing the rotors, even though I have 50% of the pads left. Dealership not being cooperative. This could make me fall out of love with this car.

Bought my Xb sight unseen and was not disappointed. I've driven it to California (from Missouri) and back, upstate New York and back and Florida and back with no problems. Gets great gas mileage. I switched to synthetic oil and I average 30 mpg. Love the ease of entry and exit and the roomy backseat.

Favorite Features

I love the IPOD hook-up, center gauges, roomy interior and color (Blackberry Crush Metallic)! Headlights on high beam are incredible.

Suggested Improvements

I would add another back-up light as it is difficult to see when pitch black out (I know it is European styling but it does not get the job done). Wider arm rest needed. Better low beam headlight visibility - seems to be an abrupt cut-off of visibility. Would add lumbar support to front seats.

Review

I love this car. Researched all different makes/models for 6 months prior to purchase. After 21 months and 30,000 miles this definitely was the best value for the money. Fun to drive. Comfortable with roomy. Easy to get in and out both front and rear passengers. Good gas mileage and pickup. Versatile. Does well in snow. Will definitely buy another one when it's time to replace the Sienna.

Favorite Features

Clean lines, gas mileage(avg 28 mpg: 30+ on highway), acceleration, interior comfort and space, ease of entry even for rear passengers. I could go on and on.......

Suggested Improvements

Front passenger sideview mirror/windshield blind spot is the most concerning problem. Better arm rests. More speed options on wipers (front and rear).

Always Wanted an XB..Glad I bought one

Review

I was looking around for another car last august and saw this one online and fell in love. I got it within 2 weeks. I got the 5.0 RLS Series Gold Rush Mica Edition with the color matching interior and I love it. I love the CVT Transmission though I wanted a Manual. It has more power then a lot of people would think-150+HP in a 4cyl ain't bad. I have no complaints about it so far. Got it used though it looked new with only 3500 miles and now with 12, 600 it still runs like new. I'm only getting 23MPG City which I wish was a bit better but for the size of the vehicle I can't complain.

Favorite Features

Color, CVT, Interior Room, Upgraded Sound System, Moon roof, LE Body Kit, Ease of access to everything inside the car while driving.

Suggested Improvements

Little bit more under body clearance, I regularly scuff the bottom on curbs or parking. Speakers need to be upgraded, could use 2 additional speakers in the trunk of the car also or a sub feature. Needs 2 reverse lights, Power seats would be nice but not necessary. ALL WINDOWS TINTED THE SAME COLOR!

Review

Easy in and out. Power increase that was worth the 3-4 mpg difference. Easy to drve and to fall in love with. Center guages easy to view with out looking down and taking eyes off of road. This maks a different on long trips. Other seem to give me a headache now. Ride is just about right not too soft not too hard.

Favorite Features

Nice sound system upgrade. All safety features. Big inside but still drives small.

I love my scion xb. I am happy with just over 24 mpg in town driving and over 30 on the interstate. I was unsure at first but quickly fell in love with this car.

Favorite Features

Mileage, sunroof and ride.

Suggested Improvements

Give a a turbo to help play some more. Armrest for passenger. That's all I can think of.

This is my 2nd xb. More comfortable ride, still like the boxy look of the older style. Drives awesome. Wish I would have gotten the standard. I average about 30 mpg. Love the sound system and handling. More spacious for having 3 kids (2 young adults) no squooshing together in back. I will stay with this for along time. Scion is an excellent brand. Would like more unusual colors. My last was yellow limited edition.

mileage, sound system comfort ride.

Suggested Improvements

more color choices, keep the old boxy style. YES adding a 5 speed is good.

Review

I now have over 30,000 miles on this car in just over a year, and I love it more every day. I did have a wheel sensor that went bad, but dealer fixed it no problem. This is my second scion and as long as they make car that fit my needs, I will be a customer for life. For the first 10 months I was only averaging about 24mpg but just like with my first Scion, once I got towards 30,000 miles I am now averaging 29mpg and I do a lot of around town driving.

Favorite Features

Nav system, cold air intake, reliability, amazing amount of space in such a small package.

Suggested Improvements

Paint seems to chip a bit easy.

The xB may be the best kept secret of the year.Mine is an awesome conveyance, [this, from someone who has owned about 30 vehicles and did for over 25 years, drive over 40K miles per year. As with my '94 Previa AWD van that has 260K and still runs well, my xB is no disappointment when it comes to reliability,[not a single problem yet],and now that it has 20K and the engine has settled in, I just observed over 30 MPG [only got about 25 whthru the Mt.s of WV, and the hills of VA/PA, [this, with over 500 lbs of luggage/demo gear plus my 230+ wt.]. It has plenty of acceleration and although suspension could be stiffer, [I could cure that for a few hundred $ in factory add-ons], it's fine, as is.

Favorite Features

As an impaired person, I appreciate Xb's ht. which allows for easy exit/entry It has no power seats, yet is extremely comfortable to drive and I never feel as if I am in a small or cheaply-built ride. It comes w/traction control, limited slip, tire pressure monitor, and more. I love this thing.

Suggested Improvements

Paint seems a little thin. Some think that it's OK to bang their doors into it, [sour grapes? Boys, it wasn't the Asian mfgrs. who set lease mileage so low that you would only drive a car an avg. of 12K mi/year. They don't mind their cars having 100 K on them]. I think that a 5 spd. would add mpg.
