Scion xB Windshield cracks

Re: Scion xB Windshield cracks [aatherton]

Let's see....2004-2006 xB's in various states throughout the U.S. are getting hit with pebbles in the same spot on the windshield which in turn creates the same "L" shaped crack? C'mon!!! Regarding a class action lawsuit. One was filed in California by attorneys Jeffrey Fazio and Dina Micheletti on behalf of Justin Bauer "and oall others similarly situated" ... Read More...

Resale Value

You're dead on with the 12K pricing. I have seen the Gen 1 priced from $11.5 to $14999 in the classifieds within a 80 mile radius of DC. And those are 2004-2006 years. Resale has really been good with the spike in gas prices and I am thankful that I"m not paying $50 for a fill-up. I stopped for gas yesterday and a Tahoe was across from me filling up. He was over $100 and not ... Read More...

"Mild" speeding

I don't revel in exceeding the speed limit, and only do it under conditions of low traffic and good road conditions. I recognize that higher speed always reduces the safety margin for an unexpected maneuver. On my recent trip I exceeded the speed limit by 5 mph because most of the other vehicles were doing likewise and I had long distances to cover in specific time ... Read More...

Article Comments - 2008 Nissan Cube vs. 2008 Scion xB

Re: Article Comments - 2008 Nissan Cube vs. 2008 Scion xB [cody20]

I agree with KarenS 100%, Scion abandoned me when they released the second gen xB. The new car is an insult to the quirkiness of the original. In terms of market segment and sales, I would wager a bet that the average age of owners has climbed dramatically for the xB and demand is down overall compared to the launch of the original xB. To me these small B segment cars ... Read More...

No More Scion xB After 2007?

Do you like the new Xb or not?

I can't really decide wheather or not I like the new model. I guess it is nice but I will miss the old style. I drive a 2004 scion Xb and I love it it is the best little car I have ever had. I don't know though if when i go to get a new car if I will be purchasing the new scion Xb. I think that they tried to make it a little more fancy, I guess it works but when I 1st saw it it didn't have ... Read More...

Fuel Injector Cleaning (Scion xB 2004)

I have a Scion xB 2004, and I'm wondering what's the best way to clean its fuel injectors. 1. Do fuel injector cleaning additives work? If so, which is the best? 2. Or is it best to have them cleaned by other means? I'm pretty handy and would like to do it myself if possible. Advice? Thanks-- Samuel Duncan Austin, Texas Read More...

The New Scion 2008 xD

s

Here is the comparo that Eldaino mentioned between the fit/xD. Myself I like the fit but its body and lack of horsepower kill the car for me. The car is in its 6th or 7th year of production so that makes it a outstanding car considering how long its been out. When the 2nd gen fit comes out it should be very nice if they update the body and bump up the pwoer up 20 or 25 horses. ... Read More...

Article Comments - 2008 Scion Xb Full & Long Term Test

Where do you guys get the facts?

"In 2004, we were surprised to find our test xB equipped with traction control. With its second-generation xB, Scion has upped the gadgetry content further, and now there's vehicle stability control." "Electronic brakeforce distribution is now on board, along with brake assist to clinch the calipers tight during panic stops." ----------------------------------------------------------- ... 2008 Scion xB - new design... love it or hate it?

The new xB looks like an ugly HHR/PT Cruiser

The tiny gun turret windows/high beltline and huge C-pillars are a big mistake. Sensible design, practicality and safety lost out to Toyota's styling department's decision to copy GM's and Chrysler's mistakes. Unbelievable. Then again, they'll probably sell a ton of these to the 50-70 year olds, secretaries, grannies, and college girls etc. that seem to ... Read More...

Scion MPG-Real World Numbers

Re: mpg [dwynne]

It's amusing to see someone else with this unusual combination of vehicles (Honda S2000 & Scion xB). I purchased what was probably the last black 2006 manual transmission xB to ship to the Bay Area (my vehicle was manufactured in December 2006). So far, I've consistently averaged 30 mpg. For me, driving is more about having fun than about worrying about mileage, ... Read More...
