Re: Torn between a 2006 Aveo and 2006 Toyota Scion XA [scieduc8tor]
I had narrowed it down to those two also. But after I test drove the Scion there was no contest -the Aveo was a much nicer ride and felt like it was built better. This is a lot for me as I have not bought American for almost 25 years. You have to remember both are economy cars but you get a lot for the price with the Aveo. I bought it for my son (so crash ratings were really important) ... Read More...

Torn between a 2006 Aveo and 2006 Toyota Scion XA
My soon to be husband and I are torn between getting a 2006 Aveo and a 2006 Toyota Scion XA. We have researched both and know that we get more bang for our buck on the Aveo but the Scion did slightly better in gas while the Aveo did better in the crash test ratings. If anyone wants to let us know your opinions, experiences, or thoughts, please do!! We need the help!! :shades: Read More...
Re: Torn between a 2006 Aveo and 2006 Toyota Scion XA [scieduc8tor]
you are in the same position as me....comparing and evaluating... :) as a woman, i say the scion looks a bit better but less choice of colors (6 versus 11 for aveos) and i want the spicy orange! i am waiting to see the nissan versa, i have the brochure already and it does look nice and it offer nice options also. the price should be starting at 12.000$. my main reason to ... Torn between a 2006 Aveo and 2006 Toyota Scion XA
My soon to be husband and I have been searching for a new car and have narrowed it down to two. They are the Chevy Aveo and the Toyota Scion XA both 2006. We created both on line with things that we would want and found out the the Aveo gave us more bang for the buck. Also, I found a website where I could compare both of the above on gas and crash ratings. The Scion XA is slightly ... Read More...
Both cars are top-drawer..
the xA I have test drove but not the Yaris sedan. It is basically aesthetics that would have me place the Yaris sedan slightly above the Scion xA for "gotta have-itis." The 2007 Scion xA has been rumoured to be the same as the 2007 Toyota Yaris 5-door liftback. That, especially but not limited to the Scion xA RS 3.0, will be a rig I have to see and test drive! Having said ... Read More...

I have driven the Scion xA
for 2006 and I was impressed by it. It is definitely a car to buy for "fun factor". I suspect the 2007 Toyota Yaris hatch and even the sedan will be the same. There's a red base Yaris sedan a mile from my house here sitting at the Toyota dealer screaming out for me to go test drive it tomorrow. They have several Corolla's, new and used, but I really loathe their general ... Read More...
Honda Fit vs. Scion xA vs. Toyota Matrix
Matrix?
As an owner of a 2006 Matrix I have to say it is higher priced than any of the others you have talked about. We like the Matrix but I would look at the Fit. We would have bought either an Xb or Xa had we not had such a terrible time with the Scion dealers in our area. We could not get the equipment we wanted even though it was listed as available. Your best bet is just to take your ... Read More...
Re: Yaris OR xA [brucepadgett]
micweb seems to think that the 2007 xa might be styled as the yaris, I assume it woud have the scion features you like still intact. you might want to wait for that and check it out. you can always get a 2006 at that time if you want...might even get a discount despite the no haggle policy. ouch, trading in so fast takes the economy out of economy cars...unless the famous ... Honda Fit vs. Scion xA vs. Toyota Matrix
Re: Honda Fit vs. Scion xA vs. Toyota Matrix [cdoc]
The amazing thing is, I am getting the same mpg on my new 2006 Cobalt! (I had a Scion xA about 4 cars ago, for 12,000 miles, and easily and steadily hit 35 mpg, a little lower.) I presume we both have manual transmissions and spend a lot of time on the freeway, little time on city streets.... Read More...
