Excellent Choice

If you do you homework, this car is a 10. If you want more HP, buy something else. I have a 2006 automatic Scion xA with 2,300 miles on it. In nearly a 50/50 split between city and highway driving I am getting 30/37 mpg in real world driving. It's fun to drive, very comfortable and extremely roomy in front seat and acceptable in back seat. this car is exceptionally quality.

Favorite Features

I love the great fuel economy, they way the car sits up high, and is fun to drive.

Suggested Improvements

Reposition the cruise control switch and change to a toggle up/down format.

I love driving this car. It is so fun and cute on the outside and roomy on the inside for a car its size. I love it!

The 2006 Scion xA is the ultimate car for small families. It's got plenty of room and is versatile for its size. The ultimate experience is being able to get in and out of parking lots with little difficulty, which means a lot for this former truck owner. It is a very solid and well built little car

Favorite Features

This car came well equipped with many standard features, including power windows, locks, stereo, anti-lock brakes, etc. The ride is not a bad as some reviews might lead you to believe, but then it is a small car. The no-haggle price is also good.

My wife & I both have $40,000 SUVs. When I started spending $85.00 per week to drive to work, we decided to get something economical. I started by looking at all the non-hybird cars (to keep cost down) getting > 35 mpg. That limited it to a select few. After several test drives of several different cars, this little thing stuck out above the rest. This car is packed with tons of options - plus there is a "cult" like following and they are nearly impossible to get at the dealership (which keeps values up). I am now spending $28.00 per week on gas, (getting 37 mpg, mostly city) and have kept the big SUV (this thing is paying for itself in gas alone). This thing is a blast to drive & a kick to hear "what is that!?"

Favorite Features

Bold, unusual body design, hi-tech looking dash. Comfortable interior. Killer stereo! Lots of standard "options". They're so "hot" you have to order them. 37 mpg mostly city - I'm laughing all the way to the bank! Toyota quality.

I purchased this car after doing tons of research for an "economy" car. This little guy packs a lot of features and is just plain fun to drive! Its great gas mileage is key during these times. This car will end up saving me tons of money! Run to your nearest dealership and have fun with this ride!

Stereo...stereo...did I mention the stereo??!!?? I love the controls in the steering wheel! Also love the way the car handles!

Suggested Improvements

Like everyone else, I wish the armrest came standard...cruise control would be nice as well. Other than that, don't change a thing!

I have been impressed by the cars abilty to deliver of the dealerships promises. The car was the best investment I could have made. With the price of gas going up and I am averaging 39 miles on the hiway I could not be happier with my choice of cars.

I got the optional electric sun roof and I love it

I recently purchased a 2006 Scion xA and have really enjoyed driving it so far. It really is a good value for the money. Most of the creature comforts come as standard equipment, the build quality is excellent, and it is fun to drive. The gas mileage is also impressive.

Favorite Features

Well-designed and comforable interior, build quality, fun to drive, gas mileage. The car accelerates well with the manual transmission.

Suggested Improvements

Ride/handling balance favors handling, which is generally a good thing, except that the ride is harsh on rough pavement. Improve ride without adversely affecting handling. The manual shifter could use some refinement. A sunroof and cruise control should be available options.

Review

I just traded in my Toyota Tacoma for the Scion XA, and what a great little car this is. It's a hoot to drive, and it gets better mileage than the Tacoma ever did. The mpg that I'm averaging, though, is a little less than I had hoped for, but my XA has automatic transmission.

Stereo controls in the steering wheel.

This vehicle sure surprised me,we took it on a trip Tampa-Orlando with full tank,drove around with AC going,for a week-end,the Parks,shopping,clubing, the works,then back to Tampa,arriving with just about half of a tank left,the ride to and from was also surpisingly smooth,and with the windows up surprisingly quiet,we enjoyed the ride,all four of us,it was a"guys week- end"without the girls,lucky us...the

the stero,leg room,even in the rear seats,this unit is also equipped with a air induction system,the speed and power was simply amazing....

power to the windows,and stero system should last a little longer after "switch off"

Have my Scion a couple week. Just love the car. It is really solid and handles well. Loads of leg and head room. Love the fact that you cna build the car you want instead of paying for options you never use. Can't beat the gas mileage. I am getting betwen 37 and 41 mpg and the car is not even broke in. In fact, being this car is getting double the gas mileage of my others. I have set- up a Scion Saver account and I deposit my gas savings in the account every time I fill-up. The way I see it if gas prices remain I will have the car paid off in about 3 years off my gas savings alone.

Favorite Features

Ride, Handling, Comfort, Head and Leg room and the color...Black Sand Pearl. Oops...can't forget that the car is costimg me nothing and it is a Toyota
