I am really pleased with the gas mileage, leg room, and power this little but very comfortable vehicle has. It has a very modern design and you can't beat the price.
Favorite Features
The gas mileage is the BEST feature.

My Scion aA is the very first brand new car that I have ever owned and I couldn't be more pleased with its performance and quality. I would recommend this car to anyone that is looking to buy a new car. It is wonderful on style, gas mileage, comfort, and reliability.

The longer I own my little Scion xA the more I love it. Wherever I go people ask me, "What is it?" It is a great ice breaker. This car is the most fun to drive. I love it. I get about 30 - 32 MPG and that is just driving around town in traffic. One man, a borough worker, pulled his backhoe up to our driveway as he was passing by, stopped, and asked what kind of car it was. My 6' 1" husband, who had bought a Toyota Tacoma a week before, said he would buy the xA if he did not need a truck. He loves it. This car reminds me of the USA TV channel's advertisement: "Characters Wanted." It's for the person who is an individualist. We truly *love* it!
Favorite Features
I love the radio controls on the steering wheel. It has great looksand comfortable seats. I like the way it drives.
Suggested Improvements
The headlights should turn off automatically. It needs improved rear visibility. It needs a tad more room for the rear passengers and another plug for accessories.

I have had my xA since the end of November. I love it. It is my first new car. I have owned many used Toyotas over the years and the Scion xA has not disapointed me. It is great on gas.

It needs more light toward the lower part of the console and a light should be included in the cup holder area.

I was hesitant to buy such a small car. Howerver, it has a really sporty ride and I feel comfortable and safe in it. My wife is from England where small cars are necessary. She loves the vehicle as well.

Brilliant Design

The design of this car is superb. It is short, but the engine takes up very little space. As a result, the interior passenger compartment is amazingly large for such a short car. It is great for the city where small spaces are easier to get into with this car. The xA has a suprisingly large storage capacity. It is also high and is very easy to get in and out of. The seats are very comfortable. I have always purchased Volkswagens, but from now on I will only buy Toyotas. And the Scion xA is a spectacular value, with great mileage per gallon. I recommend this car to both young and older drivers. I am over 60 and love this car.
Favorite Features
I like the comfortable seats and unique design. I also like the hatchback feature.
Suggested Improvements
I think it would be even better if it was made even higher than it is.

This car is incredible. I was working on a tight budget. After test driving three cars, the salesperson showed me this car. The long list of standard items was impressive. After taking it out for the test drive I found it to be very responsive and fun driving and decided to buy it. I bought a Toyota Camry 6 months back. I wish I had test driven this car before I had brought my Camry. I think this car is a true value down to every penny.
Favorite Features
The audio controls on the steering wheel, illuminated CD storage, iPod connectivity, and MP3 compatible CD player.
Suggested Improvements
I feel two things were lacking which could make this car good for long drives. First a full sized spare wheel instead of a donut and second cruise control.

Toyota did a great job designing this car. For the price it is simply hard to beat. It is simple, versatile, economical and does not feel in any way cheap. It's $20,000 worth of car for $14,000.
Favorite Features
The clutch / gearshift is very easy to operate. Parking and manneuverability make this a perfect city car.
Suggested Improvements
Add more storage cubbies under the dash. The price of the keyless remote option is ridiculous. It also needs stiffer sidewalls in the tires and a little taller gearing for highway use.

The vehicle is perfect for my needs. I just got the car and when I was driving home I noticed the engine runs strong and the cabin was fairly quiet. I did my homework and looked at the Corolla, Civic and Mini. I felt that for the price and quality the Scion was the winner!
Favorite Features
I like the great gas milage. This is a well built car that will last for many years with proper service.
Suggested Improvements
When you unlock the car with the keyless remote the inside light should come on. It needs an armrest and maybe a little more inside lighting for night driving.

I had the typical doubts about Scion. I didn't think it would survive as Toyota's child. The whole ad campaign of the hip gen y car is a bit tacky, but I believe but the car is a solid reminder that it's a Toyota. I am one who prefers small cars however sometimes I fear that I am too small to be seen. The rear seats fold down easily to store my larger items when needed. Overall the Scion xA is a solid compact package. It is much cheaper than a Corolla with the standard options although the Corolla is a bit wider. The driver's seat position is more like that of a minivan or SUV and the speedometer and gauge are in the center, but this is easy to get used to and actually makes a lot of sense.
Favorite Features
Handling, stereo system, gas mileage, compactness, easy to park anywhere, smooth transmission, side mirror blinkers, the fact that it's made in Japan (other than being a Japanese make, if you know what I mean), and simple clear compactness of everything.
Suggested Improvements
This car has too many options that should be standard. I don't know if I buy the whole "pure price" thing on Scions. A sunroof option would be nice. An arm rest should be standard. Keyless entry should also be standard. It needs a 5th gear in automatic transmission.
