Scion tC Brakes and Rotors Problems

  • Unhappy customer

Written by: lavalite on Jul 12, 2010 10:11:59 AM

Well add me to the list of not so happy Scion customers. I have a 2008 TC I bought new and I have been having the brake problems since day one. Twice the dealer suggested having the rotors resurfaced at MY cost but I refuse since its been happening since the first day. My brakes make the wosh wosh sound when not applied and grind bad when I do apply the ... Read More

Hey I saw your post and I figured I could help you out, I am the Scion Manager at Eastern Shore Toyota and with that mileage, that sounds about right...I'm not sure if you will get the maximum KBB value though (As I am sure you already know...), I'm not saying you won't for sure, it's just not always that easy in a short time (Even though 14 for an 08 ... • Fair price for 2008 TC?

Written by: canrun on Aug 3, 2009 7:22:49 PM

Greetings! This will be my first time to sell a used car, so hopefully I can get some good advice. My wife has a white, 2008 Scion Tc with 3,500 city miles. Like new condition. We bought it in April of last year. My work is going to send us abroad for the next five years, so I need to look into selling it. I've looked at the KBB and Edmunds ... Read More

kind of like the white iQ, from those pics. I sure enjoyed my test drive of the Polar White 2006 Scion xA, and the 2005 Scion tC RS 1.0, that tC was dressed in Absolutely Red. It was a ball to drive. I was in love with the Scion tC for many months, then started to like the xA better. Ended up keeping my '01 Kia Sportage 4X4 and trading in ... Read More

Back in October, 2007 I mentioned to a salesman that I was disappointed that the Celica line had been discontinued. I was looking to replace my 2001 Celica GT hatchback which had served me well. This being the third Celica after a 94 and before that a 90. While the 01 had less room than the 94, I liked the styling, the sporty feel and the 38 MPG was good too. ... Read More

Yeah I was thinking the same thing.....I hate to admit out loud to people I bought my '07 automatic new for $17,7xx because they didn't come with side & curtain airbags. Since I always have to cover my answer with "Toyota jacked up the prices for the '08s & '09s..." Look at this.... http://www.libertyville-toyota.com/index.cfm?action=inventorysearch&subaction=se- archlistnew This dealer is Autonation owned...They are selling used '08 auto for 17,9xx with 6k miles. Also, with 2008 beyond the last model year. The Tiburon is priced a lot lower. You can get it well below MSRP now. And with the Scion tC, they have that annoying supposedly no-haggle price.

Hey people!! Yes its been a while since i've posted here... But I'll cut to the point. For 2008, Scion gave the the tC projector headlamps, new tail lamps(similar to the ones they offered at the dealership)and a price increase. Still, no rear wiper, other interior color, or 5-6AT. The good news is that they have added a lot of interior accents like the door handles and door grabs. They are ... Read More

It's amusing to see someone else with this unusual combination of vehicles (Honda S2000 & Scion xB). I purchased what was probably the last black 2006 manual transmission xB to ship to the Bay Area (my vehicle was manufactured in December 2006). So far, I've consistently averaged 30 mpg. For me, driving is more about having fun than about worrying about mileage, so I'm usually accelerating hard, playing with the surprisingly ... Read More

I test drove a 2005 Scion tC RS 1.0 in Absolutely Red. Pretty nice handling and steering and a low-grade "throaty" sound emitted from the rear while rowing through the 5-speed tranny's gears. If I didn't want a 4-door more I might've bought a Spec tC. The red was pretty nice but I actually like a silver tC better than a red one. I ended up buying a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer ... Read More
