Question: How many camber bolts should be in the rear wheels of a 2009 Vue? (I'm not a car tech person, so forgive any awkward phrasing!) Background: I just purchased four new tires for my Vue and had an alignment done. They indicated the rear wheels were out of camber, and also indicated that in most cars there are two camber bolts in each wheel, not just one, which is what ... Read More
Wow, ok I thought it was me I purchase my 2008 saturn vue back on July 2009. I would run to them so much I just got tried. Now today I ... Read More

I am updating my previous post. This morning my car was towed to a GM approved service center for my Saturn Vue. The car is still dead. They removed the battery (only 2 months old) and charged it outside of the car. The battery was able to hold a charge. Initially the service technition thought something had happened to the car or the battery was causing the problem. He now thinks ... Read More
tlbeaure, Thank you for your post. If you would email me your VIN I can look into recall information for you. I apologize for your frustrations. Christina GM Customer Service
Wow... I can't believe they are not issuing a recall. There is not need to go over what is wrong with my 2009 Saturn Vue XR, you have all done a great job listing the issues in your posts. Electrical meltdowns... Really saddened by all of this! I would like to know what can be done about this. Clearly this part is defective.
About 3 years ago I was having a problem with my car--the spedometer would drop to zero while I was driving, most of the dashboard lights would come on an stay on, the steering wheel would get tight while I was driving making it hard to turn. One day my car wouldn't start. The dealership told me after 3 days of having the car that "an animal chewed my wires". I ... Read More
With all of the people describing the same problem with the Body Control Module is GM planning on paying to replace this part? I don't have $800 right before Christmas to pour into this car after replacing the battery 2 months ago. I have a 2009 Saturn Vue.
I am really concerned now with all of the postings that I am reading that are similar to mine experience. I have 2009 Saturn Vue that I bought just 1 year ago. After purchasing the car I saw the lights flicker inside of the car a couple of times, but not consistently or for long periods of time. It is so quick you could miss it. A couple of months ago ... About 6 months to a year after purchasing our 2009 Saturn VUE, we started having trouble with the A/C. The air sometimes blows warm, and other times, it blows cold, but only to the floor. It's like the blower won't switch to the vents in the dash, no matter what we try. The bigger problem, especially now that it's cold, is that the heat/defrost will not work. At all. The vents ... I am having both issues with the A/C and the Heat/Defrost in my 2009 Saturn VUE. The Heat/Defrost issue sounds about exactly the same as yours, wendy4lsu. Did you try the trick with disconnecting and connecting the battery? I wonder if you've been able to resolve your problem? Just wondering! tlbeaure
Hi - I am right with you. If you can believe it I have had 4 transmissions replaced not counting the original. Just came back from the dealership with a "new transmission" and it still sounds like crap. See below - any insight you have gained from your situation would be most helpful. GM is willing to do nothing for me - despite me paying the $3500 for the 50/50 split ... Read More
Well here is an update, I was quoted for a "new" transmission, $4400.00 and I toke the 50/50 split that Saturn offered me, so my total was $2200.00 which is still alot. I took it to two different dealers and they all blamed on my driving condition.... ;( I'm 2nd owner and would the consumer lemon law still apply?
What do you mean firewall. I took it to two different dealers, and they all said everything is in perfect condition and blamed my driving condition.... (I drove very slow and generous to save gas)....
i_gladiator, I'd recommend asking the dealer to look at it for you. Dealers typically have some kind of warrant for their repairs as well; I'd definitely recommend asking. Christina GM Customer Service
Check the manual or with your dealer, but I believe it's attached to the firewall.
Hi, is the junction box under hood very visible? or is tis one of the dealer recall. I own the hybrid vue 2009 but I only get 19/23 MPG and wonder it is the same problem. I'd appreciate if you could instruct me where I can find this ground wire. Thanks,
I took my 2009 Saturn Vue Hybrid into a dealer in Dover, Delaware due to A/C failure. They told me I am missing my clutch assembly on my A/C compressor. I have 45,000 miles on my vehicle does this part just fall off? This repair is in the 750 plus dollar range. Is it able to be done by myself?
Sounds to me like NHTSA needs to recall all Saturn Vue's from 2003-2009, but I think they have not received enough complaints, for A/C issues, transmission issues, front arm bushings, all at the expense of GM, since that is who is responsible for the now defunct Saturn corporation. All the people that are having issues with Vue, Ion, etc., should file a formal complaint with NHTSA, maybe some of us can ... Read More
I had my AC repaired by a certified GMC dealer at total cost of $663.21, the price included repair of tire $24.95, A/C compressor to condenser line, part# PO89561 at a cost of $125.92, and had to replace 24 ounces LOCALSUVAX freon $1.80/ounce for a total of $43.20, labor cost was a whooping $407.98. I have a 2009 Saturn Vue (purchased new from dealership and I am original owner). I treat it well and it's stored in a cooled and covered garage. No battery issues ever before. The Honda engine won't be a problem, but the Vues do have problems with their suspension (bearings, shocks, struts, engine mounts, bushings are all plagued with problems) and transmissions problems -in 2009 GM issued a soft recall and giving $5000 in credit for transmission replacement. The converter also has problems.

It's fixed and running like it did when it was new. The problem was that the ground wire bolt on the under hood junction box was loosing, causing grounding issues and forcing to run the engine choked all the time. How did “The New” GM deal with the faulty transmission that they built for me and my wife’s 2003 Saturn Vue? They passed their problem onto “valued” customers. We went and bought a used Vue today, got a 2009 XE V-6 AWD for 17,000. Had 24,000 miles on it. I've been a trico neoform guy for a while now, but this time I tried 'trico tech beam blades' for the saturn vue. Thanks for your post. The VUE is a really nice looking vehicle. Yeah...a positive response. I guess you either love or hate Saturn. Yes, I have some advice. Buy a Hyundai or KIA! At least they are trying to sell cars that don't fall apart right after 36000 miles is up. I would say as long as the rebate covers the interest you'd pay for the life of the loan (because they don't offer the rebate on the 0% 60 month as I understand it), then it's probably worth it. How did you get the dealer to offer it at $22,475? GM supplier discount or employee discount? I chose the 4-cyl because of the gas mileage - i liked the ride of ... Read More
Hi again. Well, I went back and forth with the dealer and got them to give me an additional $700 on my trade-in for the deal I wrote about, above. I went in with the 0%, so my payments would be reduced to $320.89 - I was willing to pay $320/month with $2,100 down (which goes right towards principal anyway). They offered a different deal that, surprisingly, was better - a ... Read More
I just got out of the Saturn dealer for a 3rd time in 6 months to look at buying a Vue. The 0% 60 month financing made it hard not to return. Kip, Happy Veterans Day. Semper Fi. I spent 6 years in the service. Since you state you are considering a hybrid. Would I buy a 2008 Hybrid Vue? The answer is no. I also think Saturn has to demonstrate they have fixed the electical harness and battery problems that plagued the ... Read More
First off - I think you purchased a 2008 Saturn Hybrid Vue. The 2009 models which will be a full Hybrid are not out on the market yet.
