Re: Why Saturn Vue? [mcq1]
I have a similar question. However, I have had the pleasure to test drive an '08 2WD Vue XR, and so far, I am quite impressed. I haven't yet test driven other smaller new SUVs, such as the CX-7 or the RAV4. Because this will be a car primarily for my wife, and she doesn't like the RAV4 design, nor does she like the look of the CX-7 interior, those cars will not be considered. ... Read More...
Why Saturn Vue?
Can anyone tell me why I should buy the Saturn Vue? Does anyone like the 2008 model? I saw one at a dealership but I didn't have a chance to test drive it. It looks solid. I know mpg is only 16/23 but I cannot find something better in gas mileage that is not a hybrid. Please let me know your thoughts on the new vue. Read More...
Saturn VUE Green Line - Real World MPG Numbers
Re: Vue GreenLine Mileage is.... [kallop]
There is some confusion here. Saturn did not change the EPA mileage estimate on the 2007 Vue Green Line. Perhaps the confusion is caused by the facts that, for the 2008 model year, Saturn has a new Vue and the EPA has changed the rules on window sticker labels. I see you've made several posts regarding Vue Green Line. I'd like to know your vehicle identification number ... Read More...
03 Vue, Rotor Pains - Technical Discussion Cont.
Uggh just back from the dealer.... In addition when picking my vehicle back up this afternoon after servicing the rear brakes, the service manager "Rick" repeatedly told me "that his truck has to have the brakes serviced every 18 months, that is just the way I drive" he reported. He also stated that no Saturn will go years without rotor replacement. He furthered ... Read More...
Saturn Vue 2008 Lease vs. Smartbuy
I am coming out of a Smartbuy 5 months early with 2 months paid by lease pull ahead. I owe 3 months less the interest, $933. I had a huge residual from my previous Smartbuy or a Buick Rainier so I would only have to pay 8% taxes on $3376.73 (the dealer keeps pushing this). For a 2008 Saturn Vue XR AWD I am getting supplier price on the vehicle which is $27,601.73. My first ... Read More...

seats stink
I stopped by the dealer out of curiosity last week. The 2008 has nice enough styling with interesting details in the fenders... but those burlap covered things they call seats left me cold. Sorry! no improvemnt over the old Vue!!! Maybe even worse! The seats are too small and spongy with no support and the back seat is too low to the floor and too short with no support ... Read More...
Re: Gauges? [spaceman210]
Oh my, can you say OVERPRICED. I went to a local Saturn dealer here in Dayton, OH after reading about the engine/tranny combo offered on the new 2008 Vue. Sales person was nice but oblivious. Sales manager was driving a demo for over a month so i asked him about the coolant temp gage and he was clueless, too. I guess that GM/Saturn thinks that most consumers don't care ... Read More...

Re: Article Comments - Full Test: 2008 Saturn Vue XR [KarenS]
The new Vue is ridiculously heavy for a 5 passenger crossover. The AWD version weighs 4300lbs! When vehicles should be getting lighter with better gas mileage, the Vue got heavier with worse mileage. Bad move IMO. Saturn has the larger Outlook. The Vue should have been under 3500lbs with better gas mileage. IMO, the Honda CRV, Toyota Rav4, Jeep Patriot and new ... Read More...

Re: What's a lame duck... [detroit_rex]
Rex, Please take this as constructive criticism from a scientist who has written over 80 peer-reviewed publications. I am not trying to give you too hard of a time on this one. I did read your article. I re-read it to be certain of my initial interpretation. The article's title and the paragraph concerning "lame duck" are very misleading and somewhat nebulous ... What's a lame duck...
I've had three stories published on the Vue Green Line ... and THE first on Edmunds Inside Line. My view on the VUE is positive. The moniker of Lame Duck comes from the fact that since last year (late 2006), Saturn has paraded the new 2008 Green Line and its greater, greener technology for the world to see. In the article you read, I reviewed a 2007 model. Are you not ... Read More...
