  Before you take any suggestions via the internet check with a factory trained technician. Any person with some mechanical or electrical skills can reset the Vue computer module. Generally speaking removing the battery ground for one minute should reset the module. There is a problem doing what seems to be a "fix". The modules have a volatile memory.   Mine has that on occasion especially on an upgrade, though not often enough to concern me with the other things going on. It seems to hold a lower gear at times on a downgrade even when accelerating. I'm also getting surging at times, this is becoming very random now.

  If its a V6, it has a Honda engine and transmission. That being said, there have been torque converter issues with the Honda transmissions which cause a shudder at low speeds.   If you can afford it, buy the platinum coverage plan. The Gold plan doesn't cover everything and you don't want to be one of those customers that says "why do I have an extended warranty if it doesn't pay for anything".   If it's a rattling noise check the right front caliper. The brackets on my 2006 VUE have been replaced allready several times and it's keeps coming back after approx. 2000 mile.

  4 cylinder or V6? Sounds like an issue with the crankshaft position sensor - as they are on their way out they will start failing intermittently as they get hot. They tell the fuel injectors when to squirt fuel into the engine, when the CPS fails, no fuel is delivered...More common on the V6...I don't think its the security issue as it does run for 30 minutes...check engine light on??
