    The gm dealership is telling me now that they have been told by GM that they can't work on Saturn transmissions anymore, only choice for me is to put in a new transmission or just drive it til it dies. Unbelievable!

    I have a 2005 Saturn Vue Redline, and mine has been extremely reliable. I have had it since 2007, and never had a problem. The engine has plenty of power and gets good mpg(21-23 city, 25-28 highway and i have even got 30mpg twice!). I would recommend this car to anyone in the suv market.

    Don't get it fixed - the VTi transmission in the 2002-2004 4 cylinder Vues has been a giant sized wart on Saturn/GM.     The Honda engine won't be a problem, but the Vues do have problems with their suspension (bearings, shocks, struts, engine mounts, bushings are all plagued with problems) and transmissions problems -in 2009 GM issued a soft recall and giving $5000 in credit for transmission replacement. The converter also has problems.

    It is a Honda Engine. It is my understand, 05 thru 07- V6 are all Honda. I have an 05 Vue V6 with appox 100k miles.. I have only did the timing belt per maint. requirement. Have replace front struts and rear shocks..and of course, brakes. I expect to get over 200K. on this auto. It gets good MPG for a V6. Hopes this help.

    If it's a rattling noise check the right front caliper. The brackets on my 2006 VUE have been replaced allready several times and it's keeps coming back after approx. 2000 mile.

    I believe the VTi transaxle you refer to was only available in the four cylinder version of the VUE.     When I bought my 05 Vue I had issues with the rotors,but they resolved the issue (thank God). For your stains, I had Saturn use the Sominize on the seat at purchase time. Now that the warranty is over I use my Hoover rug machine and use the solution for rugs from Hoover . They come out as if Saturn did them. Good Luck.

    I get less than 12 mpg around town and about 23 on long freeway trips. BAAAADDDDD !!!! I agree that it was misrepresented when I purchased. I wouldn't have purchased at 11! Anything under 15-17 around town is rediculous.

    After about 2 years my 2005 Saturn Vue does not start as soon as you turn the key anymore. This does not happen all the time. But sometimes the engine will crank for about 10 to 15 seconds before it starts, and it will always start. Someone told me that the fuel filter is partially clogged. First, where is the fuel filter located? Second, Has anyone seen this problem too?

    I have a 2005 Vue with 16,500 miles and just had both the front and rear rotors cut. The brakes were pulsating. I've had the vehicle for 10.5 months! Purchased new. And i'm easy on the brakes. The rotors have to be cut every 10.5 months? I've been driving for 35 yrs and have never heard of that nor have I had this problem with any other vehicle.

    I was able to put 50MPG with my last tank...... I had to push it for 30 miles and got the other 20 when the engine was still running ! ;)

    Hi Steve: Yeah, I guess you're faring far better with the Vue vs. the F150! I'm just glad I don't have to pay CA prices anymore. The hybrids will surely take a beating with the ratings MPG, but then again, it should have been an honest estimate anyhow! Can't trust the G-Men!

    While I don't have a VUE (maybe in two years my wife will) I found that putting a K&N filter increased mileage in both our 2001 L200 and LW300 about 1.5 to 2 mpg in combined driving.

    I have the exact same model, but I average from 24 MPG city and 28 MPG highway. I use mid grade level fuel, that seems to help. My friend is a mechanic and said that shouldn't make any difference...but hey, I am getting better gas mileage now.
