I too have an 04 FWD V6 Vue. Sounds identical - tires @ 55k, brakes @58, same creaking sounds! Do you hear any rattle while driving? These are notorious for the front linkages disintegrating at 70-90k and front bearing going around 70K. We have a 2004 with the 3.5 Honda engine and it comes out of drive sometimes. It only happens when stopped and the you push the gas to go it just revs up and doesn't move, if i shift into N and then back it drives but the CE light comes on and it runs rough. After you turn it off then start it up the light is off and runs fine, even if its only off for a sec. It does this about 2 times ... Read More...

We bought a 2004 Saturn Vue on May 31. There is 61,000 miles on the car now and the transmission goes out. Thank god we purchased an extended 100,00 mile powertrain warranty........However, the transmission place called and told me that I may not have know this but a condition of the warranty is that we had to have an oil change preformed within the first 60 days of ... Can anyone tell me about a Saturn warranty to get them to replace the transmission. It failed at 91,000 miles two weeks ago while I was driving 65mph on the Parkway. The tach surged, the light went on, and the transmission died all within 15 seconds off one another. I had it towed to a mechanic, and he said that the transmission is blown. My 2004 Saturn Vue Redline had the drivers heated seat break within the first two years and right after the 35,000 warranty ran out. Since I lived in Las Vegas I didn't use it much and was frosted that the dealer told me it was the seat unit and would cost over $500 to replace the seat unit. $500 for a toasty tush seemed crazy, but the fact that it failed made me steamed ... So I just got my car back from the dealership on Saturday. Here is their comments on the issue: "Tech found codes B0936, B2600, B2602, B2623, B2752, B3717, B3722, and U2105 in the computer. I had a similar creaking noise in my 2003 fwd Vue . I had 64000 km and no other repairs to date. It was loudest when I turned to the right. With great trepidation, I took it to the dealer with visions of several thousand dollars for struts,front end power steering etc. Turns out the dealer replaced two tie-rods for $290.
