    I have a problem with my passenger side(right front) headlight, I replaced the bulb, but it's very dim. Then, after the daytime running lights switch to the nighttime mode, the brights are on in a dim state too. What the heck? Is the BCM causing this? Alsom, my rearview mirror no longer works and my radio doen't work and also my remote key fobs. HELP!

    There's a lot to like about the VUE, especially for a younger driver...its built like a tank, gets decent gas mileage and can be had for a reasonable price...     I also believe your issues revolve around your transmission - Your Vue likely has a VTi transmission based on the price of the trans repair. Unfortunately, the VTi transmission has had a well documented record of premature failures.     I found that the Toyo tires are really good, I have an 06 I had duelers on at first, but I found that they were very noisey, more for off roading and in snow. But just on the road Toyo's gave me a smoother,quiet ride.

    Got a question for ya. I just replaced my battery on my 2004 vue v6 AUTO and now when I am driving it seems to idle high right before it shifts gears- does my computer need to be reset? Someone said that it would do this automatically in a couple of days. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    YIKES!!! Don't reuse the old fluid...Buy new fluid and add exactly what was drained out. Your Vue has a VTi transmission and there's an entire page of a procedure in the factory service manual on how to refill the trans which calls for adding fluid based upon transaxle temperatures...not for amateurs.     I have a 2004 with the same electrical issues mentioned here. The tail lights do not work (only the brake lights), the dash lights are out, and the CD/radio/clock don't work. Did anyone ever find a fix to this problem? Thanks.

    That's not as bad as I thought it would be. I may look into it myself. I'm pretty slow with repairs but I know how to do them. My kid's pretty good, too.

    I recently had the same situation last week when I took it in for an alignment. The local Firestone wanted $69 each for the camber kits & $100 for each side for the installation. Total $$338. I'm currently looking for the parts & am going to attempt the installation myself.

    Finally got this electrical problem fixed!! ugh... it was a bad post in the electrical harness that goes to the dashboard. I noticed that for months the radio was acting funny... then the stalling and not starting randomly problem. All related to the same thing! not too expensive... $370 at Saturn. Not as bad as I thought it would be!!

    Hi, You don't mention which engine/transmission you have but I'm going to take a wild guess: You have a 4 cylinder engine with the VTi transmission. The fluid they want you to add is called the VTi additive and GM said to put it in at the 50,000 mile mark. Its supposed to prolong the life of the transmission...it doesn't really work as this transmission was poorly designed and it fails ... Read More

    I too have an 04 FWD V6 Vue. Sounds identical - tires @ 55k, brakes @58, same creaking sounds! Do you hear any rattle while driving? These are notorious for the front linkages disintegrating at 70-90k and front bearing going around 70K.     YES, Please see my post in the shudder @ 33 MPH forum. I have a 2004 VUE FWD V6 and I have had my wheel bearings replaced 2x once at 77k the second at 99k. I now need any entire front end as well. I opened up a complaint the the NHTSA about this and the brake and transmission errors.

    Bad news from Saturn of Evansville. They say what is causing the shudder is an "internal converter clutch failure inside the torque converter". The torque converter needs to be replaced in the transmission and it is approx. $2,000 to fix. I'm going to make sure they realize I pay nothing if this does not fix the problem. This really sucks.
