Forester: everything you expect from Subaru. Nice ride, great AWD system standard, great crash test scores. 2003 model looks much better. I'd go for the Impreza TS wagon for a few grand less or the WRX wagon (woo-hoo!) for not much more, but if you need the SUV look it's hard to fault the Forester. Gehe, It's strange that the Subaru people don't pick up on the boxiness of the Forrester! Anyway the $1500 market adjustment was listed right on the window sticker. I think it's just Saturn's way of not calling it a discount and a way to move the remaining 2002's here in Colorado. So your getting the 2003, that's great, I know you'll like it. Bought a 6 cyl 2002 AWD red Vue in July and am quite delighted. Got the sunroof, abs, side airbags and upgraded cd/casette stereo system for $23,500. They had a $1500. market adjustment from original pice of $25,000. About the only complaint I have is the steering wheel, wish it came leather wrapped. I fixed that with a leather cover. I have a 2002 V6 AWD Vue, manufacture date 5/08/02, purchase date June 20. I've had it in for service twice so far, both times for a "popping" noise coming from the engine compartment. The service dept. had a similar condition, attributable to incorrect transmission mounts installed at Saturn (and covered under a tech. service bulletin). They replaced mine, ... Read More...

I tend to agree with vuefor2 - build date affects numbber of problems, and also Saturn is good to try to take care of things. Having said that, I returned my fwd m5 after 9 days with 500 miles on the clock because of two major issues - the sporadic and unpredictable failure of most of the power accessories to work on startup (but no problems on restart), and the sporadic ... I purchased 2002 VUE on May 10, 2002. On June 25 I had to have the left and right strutt bearings replaced. The transmission had started clunking and they had to fix that - some kind of computer problems - gear alignment/timing off. Anyone with same problem? Can I expect more?
