  change oil soon light is what comes on when it is time for an oil change. if its not time did someone not reset it after last oil change?

  "Change oil soon" light came on, checked dipstick and was dry, put 4 quarts of oil in... then a mile down the road massive amounts of white smoke came out of the tailpipe/rear end.   Check around on the base of the knob for a very small hole that an allen set screw sets...probably came loose...or backed out and fell off.

  A "Tune up" these days amounts to changing the plugs. My 2L doesn't even have wires! The oil leak is probably from the drain plug loose and or the oil filter loose.

  Please catch your breath after that nasty incident. What happened to your Vue is a very unusual event. The fuse box caught fire because something shorted to ground.   Thanks for responding. First went to dealer with an estimated cost of $150 IF "that's what it is". What did I have to lose? Went to Salvo got a relay ($14.70 - what a deal!).   Sounds like the relay is bad - Its likely that the relay that they switched the wiper one for was the fuel pump relay...bring the relay to your local auto parts store and get a new one and install it yourself...may likely solve your problem. Its as easy as unplugging the old one and plugging the new one in - the part should be under $ 25. Good Luck

  A TSB is not like a recall, it is only a factory recommended fix if a vehicle exhibits a particular problem. If you never have the problem, you never need the fix...   If you haven't gotten this fixed yet have them check the "body control module". I had to drive clear to Saturn of Rosseville to get mine fixed but I had the same symptoms and they fixed it (not cheap!) Good Luck!

  Doreen, I have a 2002 Vue, manual 5 speed, front wheel drive with the 4 cylinder engine and I replace my rotors every 50,000 miles or so. The rotors that Saturn (GM) provide are pieces of junk and you should not invest your money in them.   Try a new instrument cluster. I have had a lot of cars that do this too.

  I have a 2003 Saturn VUE 6 cyl AWD with the same problem. I have had that groaning noise for the last 2 yrs. I have a new problem though, I have to have a new transmission with only 33k miles on my vehicle. Has anyone else experienced this?

  So In conclusion.. The Saturn Dealership of Lexington implied I would need a new air bag to fix the horn for the alarm to sound. 1100$ (I drive HORNLESS) THANX

  I had the same problem on my 2002 Vue. The bad news is that the horn switch is integrated into the air bag assembly, so replacing the horn switch requires replacing the entire assembly (I was past warranty). It's a poor design for sure.   Has anyone had any luck changing the relay on 2002 Saturn Vue? I was able to pull the hazard (flasher) button out of the console & see the assembly & light bulb, but there was no way it seemed like it was going to be snapped out. We've been having the same problems with the turn signals as the original poster. Thanks.

  We had similar electrical problems with our 2002 Vue. In the end, they replaced the wiring harness and they went away. Getting to that was a fiasco, though. Our extended warranty didn't want to pay for the repair, since the dealership didn't want to individually check each wire of the harness to prove that something was actually broken.   My daughter has a 2002 Saturn Vue. While driving, the instrument panel "turns off". It lasts momentarily and then as mysteriously as it "turned off" it comes back on. I don't believe the engine dies. It's annoying to her and the dealer says they can't find the cause. Any clues?

  Hi all. Just thought I would pop in and say hi. Our 2002 Vue is still running very well. No complaints though our baby makes my handle kind of obsolete now. The Vue is a perfect family car, the stroller and "stuff" all fit nicely in the back. That said, if we have another kid we may have to look at a Saturn Relay for more space.

  The 3.5 Honda engine and 5 speed auto trans has been used on Pilot, Odyssey and Acura MDX a long time ago. I heard that Honda had some problems with 2002, 2003 trans. I don't know about 2004 trans. IMHO, Saturn will handling out the voucher as long as they want to sell their cars, but I am not sure about 3.5 K rebate, specially 1K from GM Truckfest

  sorry to hear of your strut probs....my 2002 has left front strut replaced once; sway bar has been FOUR times. I love my VUE but smell a lemon. To Saturn's credit, they extended my warranty at no charge. Sounds generous; but there's supposedly no fix. Any comments?????
