Vehicle: 1994 Saturn S-Series SC2 2dr Coupe

I've had my 94 SC2 for almost three years now. I couldn't tell you how many owners its had but I do know that whoever owned it last didn't maintain it very well. When I bought it I had to have both front wheel bearings replaced. Last year we redid the low side of the motor due to a blown oil seal. All of that's fixed as well as a newer transmission. Despite all the work I've put into my Saturn, I love the car. I will definitely buy another one.

Near-indestructible little car.

Bought my '94 SC2 in 2000. It already had over 80k, and since then I've put a lot of hard miles on it. The odometer broke about 7 years ago. My best estimate is now 200-250k. With occasional repairs (clutch, alternator, starter, radiator), it's gone through ten years of abuse. I've gone way too long between oil changes, ignored warning lights for months, driven it on loose Florida sand and through mud, planted it nose-first in a ditch, and otherwise subjected it to youthful stupidity. It still looks great. It still runs. It still gets good mileage. But, sadly, it needs an expensive new timing chain, so I'm donating it to charity. Maybe someone else can still get some use out of it.

Reliable, economical

This car has treated me well. No major repairs in 8+ years and 110k miles. Gas mileage is great. Have gotten upper 30s on the highway.

Good car built to last

I have had my sc2 for a year now, I bought it with 99000 on it now i have 111000. The only problem that I have had is I had to replace the tail pipe and flex pipe. Other than that it runs great, looks great and is very reliable.

Radiator problems

Vehicle: 1994 Saturn S-Series SC2 2dr Coupe

I have had my Saturn for 7 years. Bought it with only 17,000 miles on it. I have never had any major problems with it until now. My radiator light keeps flashing and it seems I am always adding radiator fluid. My check engine light came on this morning and scared me a bit, but this is the first time in a long time I have had to fix this car. And has the company ever heard of cup holders? That drives me insane! In all, the car has treated me amazing in the past 7 years and it's 15 yrs old now!

Great beginner car

Vehicle: 1994 Saturn S-Series SC2 2dr Coupe

First off, I have to say this is an excellent starter car. I got my license a few months back, but don't have a car of my own. My step-mom has been letting me use her car, and I love driving it around. It's very smooth and handles really well. It's also got the power to get you out of a tight spot if you're ever in one. The exterior is hard to damage, which is part of the reason why this is a good beginner car. It also turns a surprising number of heads, which most teenagers will admit, is something they look for in a car. And as I read in another review and can confirm, it feels like you're going faster than you really are, which for me helps to keep me from speeding unconsciously.
