Saturn adds a wagon to the S-Series lineup. Passenger space is on par with the sedan, but there's almost 29 cubic feet of luggage space in back, making the wagon the most practical of the S-Series cars. The wagon comes in SW1 and SW2 models, which have the same equipment as the SL1 and SL2 sedans respectively. Also this year, a lower-cost coupe called the SC1 (equipped with the base engine) joins the mix; the existing model is renamed SC2. Although the same dimensionally as the SC2, the SC1 comes with exposed headlights rather than the stylish pop-up variety on the SC2. In other news, a driver-side airbag is now standard across the line, while the automatic transmission gets improved shift logic to reduce hunting on hills. S-Series cars optioned with the automatic and ABS now come with traction control as well. The SL2's suspension has been retuned to improve ride quality; it also gets a new front fascia and larger 195/60R15 tires. Foglights are optional on the SL2 and SW2. Inside, all models now have the same gauge design, and all except the base SL get new seat fabric.

It won't die!

Vehicle: 1993 Saturn S-Series SC2 2dr Coupe

I have no idea how many miles I have on this SC2 (auto, not manual) as the odometer stopped working a few years ago. I'm guessing 155,000. I have had to replace a few things on it, most significantly the motherboard for $500. I have a crack in the windshield (sat it in the hot Cali sun for years), the seat belt thingy is cracked and will probably fail sometime, replaced the coolant tank ($10 from junkyard) and the timing belt made me nutty for years until I found a mechanic who fixed it (FINALLY). New brakes and tires last year (2011) - it's now 19 yeas old and still drives like a dream. My sons want to drive it off a cliff to force me to buy a new car but NOPE. Bot it for $4,400 10 yrs ago!

Perfect first car

Vehicle: 1993 Saturn S-Series SC2 2dr Coupe

I got a good job out of high school, but is over an hours drive there, an hour back so I've put lots of miles on my Saturn. Bought it w/114k miles on it. I put 14k on it myself in the last 2 years and it still runs like it's brand new! Great handling all seasons, comfortable, affordable, low insurence, and relatively fast for a 4 cylinder.

Vehicle: 1993 Saturn S-Series SC2 2dr Coupe

These cars are absolutely awesome to drive. Mine has almost 170,000 on it and I don't care and it doesn't seem to either. It never misses a beat, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Mid-life wheels

Vehicle: 1993 Saturn S-Series SC2 2dr Coupe

I was looking for a fun car to drive, preferably a stick, (mid-life thing), not too expensive, low maintenance and good fuel mileage. Currently own two Saturns. Just purchased this 1993 SC2. Everything is stock. It is in outstanding condition, only 26,000 + original miles. It is a 5 speed stick, red, rear spoiler, with black cloth interior, 1.9 liter DOHC stock 4 cylinder 125 HP engine. It has power windows and door locks, ABS, AM/FM Cassette original Saturn sound system. New Dunlop 15 inch tires on the stock alloy wheels. Other than a few minor exterior scratches this car looks and drives like showroom new. Even have the original sticker when car was sold new. It is fun to drive!
