Re: Saturn - What Exactly Does It Stand For? [neteng101]
Nope, I would say the New Malibu 2008 and the Aura 2007 are direct competition to the Accord and Camry. Malibu and Aura will be a choice of styles, the Aura looking more like the Opel / Euro look. -Loren Read More...

Re: Article Comments 2007 Saturn Aura XR Follow-up Test [KarenS]
Does anyone proofread these articles before posting them? This Aura was a XR model, not a XE. This is clearly muddled by the author. Also his specs for the Accord's V6 are all wrong. It has 244hp and 211 torque, significantly LESS than the Aura XR. Read More...

Re: Aura 4cyl? [62vetteefp]
Saturn's website list mileage as 28/35 for the hybrid which would be better than every competing 4 cylinder midsize sedan. I assume that is using 2007 standards so the real mileage is likely to be 26/32 or so. I dont think Saturn really expects to be a huge volume car like the Malibu and thus the gas only four cylinder wont be offered. Having a hybrid powertrain standard ... Read More...

Well, the new Aura is here as well and I hope for future... [readerreader]
Have any of you guys seen it? Have any of you checked it out? Test drove an XR two weeks ago. The one I test drove had a leather trimmed interior but not the Morocco Brown version. I did sit in one with the Morocco Brown leather and thought it way over the top. Anyway my impressions of the Aura XR are: Interior is nice (except the Morocco Brown). Exteriors of the 2007 Camry, ... Read More...
Re: noise, again... [jeffyscott]
Why else does the accord get marked down for so much road noise. Its an old noisy engine that gets the job done. Its plusses are its exhaust note and pull. Its a sports luxury car of sorts. Think fwd bmw 3(w/ run flats and sport package). Its not as prestigious as the bmw in fact not even close. IMO the only thing they share is the commoness of it now and previous generations. ... Re: Consumer Guide Review of Altima [venus537]
I very recently took delivery of a Saturn XR. Prior to this decision I drove quite a few vehicles in the same class/category, including the 2007 Altima SE/3.5. The fierce low-speed torque steer that V6 Altima's suffered from has been greatly reduced to lowering the engine 1-2" and thereby reducing the axle half-shaft angles to each wheel. It is still there in ... Read More...

Just returned from looking at the International Auto Show
A few thoughts on some vehicles I sat in... Saturn Aura XR: Nice is the word that comes to mind. I'm not a fan of orange gauges (never have been, don't like them in the Altima either). The interior quality is certainly better than GM products of 10, or even 3 years ago. The interior styling is very "nice," tactile quality of the buttons and knobs is even good, if not great. ... Hybrid Aura
Oh, by the way Car and Driver (that royal pinhead Bedard) shredded the VUE Greenline in the November issue http://www.caranddriver.com/shortroadtests/11746/2007-saturn-vue-green-line.html- , which has the same powertrain, to the best of my knowledge, that the Aura Greenline will be rolling out with. Nice how he dismissed a 10% increase in mileage out ... Read More...

Saturn Aura not for tall people...
The article does not address a significant flaw in the Aura: The Auru is not for tall people, unless they don't mind scrunching way down like an accordian to get in. (ouch, my back!) I'm 6'2". I tried to test drive 2007 Saturn Aura, but couldn't even get in the thing...its roof is too low. When trying to sit down in, the roofline came level with my right ear...even after ... Read More...
