Saturn Aura New Owner Reports

Re: Pictures of 2007 Saturn Aura Defects [steelerman]

I was considering the 2008 Aura and have to be honest that this scares me as a potential buyer. There is no guarantee this issue may not cause other used car buyers to shy away in the future. Why would I take the chance? I am wondering how a Saturn salesperson would reply to my concerns on this issue. I doubt they would give me a separate guarantee on this defect not occuring ... Re: Pictures of 2007 Saturn Aura Defects [dinof]

There goes the resale value of these cars !! I'm not sure I would go that far...... it is a defect, but if you hadn't mentioned it in this forum, I don't think I would have ever noticed it. Just my opinion. Read More...

Saturn Aura vs. Honda Accord

Re: Accord vs. What [elroy5]

Quote from Car & Driver, "In a given year, the Accord may not be the fastest or most agile or roomiest or sexiest. But when it’s not first in a particular category, it’s most likely second, and it is always at the top of the charts in fit and finish, ergonomics, road manners, reliability, and resale value." 0-60 and 1/4 mile times were obviously not big factors when ... Midsize Sedans 2.0

Re: Most Wanted Re: the meaning of zoom-zoom [akirby]

Let us take JD Powers word on overall dependability, in that it represents a typical buyer and a real scenario. This is how some of the midsize sedans stacked up: Honda Accord: 4/5 Nissan Altima: 3/5 Toyota Camry: 3/5 Ford Fusion: 3/5 Hyundai Sonata: 3/5 Saturn Aura: 2/5 Mazda6: 2/5 VW Passat: 2/5 The only car that is said to be better than Camry is the Accord. But, ... Read More...

Hyundai Sonata vs Chevrolet Malibu vs Saturn Aura

Re: 2008 Sonata VS 2008 Chevrolet Malibu and Saturn Aura [joe97]

I have an 05 Malibu Maxx and my wife drives an 07 Optima. The Optima's platform is closer to the Elantra but it shares a power train with the Sonata. 1. The Optima has a quieter engine than the Maxx, however I like the 3.5 ohv v-6. Compared to Hyunkia, the Maxx has a far less expensive maintenance schedule due to its OLM. With the Optima (or Sonata), I've got to stick to ... Read More...

Re: 2008 Sonata VS 2008 Chevrolet Malibu and Saturn Aura [phaetondriver]

The Sonata 3.3 V6 and 2.4 4cylinder scored very well on the consumer reports test, plus the current sonata has been reconmended for two years, the Saturn Aura XR was given a score of 70, the Sonata V6 had of score of 76, the 4cylinder Sonata was 74, The 2007 Aura XE V6 had a score of 62. The Hyundai name is a good one in my opinion, GM cars are alright. Read More...

Saturn Aura New Owner Reports

I thought I wanted a 2008 Malibu

I was going to wait on the Malibu to come out, but being bored one Saturday, I thought that I would test drive an Aura to get a feel for the car size, performance, ride experience, etc... I never pictured myself buying a Saturn until I drove the Hybrid, XE, and XR. All of these vehicles impressed me. When I started looking at the cost of the comparable Malibu, I had to ... Saturn Aura vs. Honda Accord

Re: bottom line [phaetondriver]

I just read the 2008 Saturn Aura XR is rated as you stated 17 City and 26 Highway" If there has been a change in the way the EPA tests cars for 08, I guess someone needs to come up with a conversion factor to compare 07 to 08 cars. It's simple, they already did. FuelEconomy.gov - Saturn Aura 2007 Since the engine is unchanged from 2007 to 2008, its fairly logical that the ... Read More...
