HUME, Va. Saturn's Aura midsize sedan really is two cars. Drive the uplevel XR with its high-performance V-6 and sporty suspension and you wonder where, sweet car, have you been all this time? But get behind the wheel of the base XE and the impression is less impressive: Nice car. Could use some tweaking. Pretty darn good, though. If the 2007 Aura were typical ... Read More...

General Motors Corp.s Fairfax plant next week will begin making the new Saturn Aura sedans hybrid version before they go on sale early next year, a union official said Thursday. John Melton, bargaining chairman of United Auto Workers Local 31, said employees would begin producing about five hybrids a week, cars that will be road-tested before GM begins making ... 2007 Saturn Aura
First of all, there is no such engine as inline V6, it could be either V6 or inline6 (only made by BMW, GM, MB, Nissan, & Toyota) But I was unsure that Saturn is using the SAME 3.6L engine from Cadillac STS. All the GM's 3.6L engines are based on the same platform. Even in the new 07 Suzuki XL7 has the same engine, so as Outlook and Enclave. So are they all the same? I think ... Read More...

Re: Looking for new car to get by the end of the year or start of 2007 [heavensoldier]
"I was considering the 2007 Nissan Altima and the 2007 Honda Accord. Is there a big difference between the two?" The 2007 Altima is all new and the 2007 Accord is the same as the 2006 model. Between those two the new Altima would probably fit your criteria the best. Other cars new for 2007 are the Saturn Aura and Chrysler Sebring. Though not new for 2007 but still fairly ... Read More...

... something new that a lot of people don't have yet. The biggest difference is that late this year or early next year, few people will be driving around in 2007 Altimas, but there will be about 1.7 million people driving around in the current-generation Accords. The Saturn Aura and Chrysler Sebring are also brand-new for 2007. You'll have to decide if you think ... Read More...
Re: The Aura... [lahiri]
If you've been following the vue, for 2007, the vue hybrid has a 4speed auto, not a CVT. The aura may use a 5speed auto but still, not a CVT. The aura green-line -hybrid- has a 2.4l I4 and the rest is similar to the hybrid VUE. While we're on the topic of saturn vehicles, i guess its good to know that the ion will be dropped for the Astra in a few years. -Cj :) Read More...
Re: 4 cylinder sedans [growwise]
"The way I see it....One year from now, buyers would have a good choice with 1. 2007 Nissan Altima 2. 2007 Toyota Camry 3. 2008 Honda Accord (hopefully fall 07) 4. 2007 Saturn Aura 5. 2007 Chrysler Sebring 6. 2008 Subaru Legacy?? 7. 2008 Chevy Malibu?? 8. 2007 VW Passat Did I miss out on any? Anyways, its a good thing as I would be in the market in a year or two... I would ... Read More...
