Review

I fell in love with the Aura as soon as I saw one on the road. It has a very european finish on its exterior and that caught my eye immediately. I am bored looking at the Japanese sedans on the roads and Aura was a welcome. I got my XE way b4 it won the car of the year award at the auto-show and I was proven right. The car perform very well - particularly on the highways. It is fun to drive and the engine seems to always have some juice left in it no matter what speed you are driving at. Ask a Camry to beat that. Road noise is minimal, and the car steers beautifully on curvy interstate roads. I enjoy my drives on the open road and have clocked 17k miles in 9 months without a whimper. Go Aura.

This is a Saturn?

Review

The car looks and feels more expensive than it is. I've seen people checking it out in parking lots and I even had someone pull up beside me while I was starting it up and start asking me about it. The ride is very comfortable and quiet. I have family members that are in the 6'4-6'6 range and there is plenty of leg room for them.

100,000 mile warranty a big plus, roominess

"hey got everything right on the Aura. Although I have only had the car several weeks it continues to impress me. Without a doubt it is the quietest car I have ever owned. Smooth acceleration, quiet precise shifting and a very enjoyable ride. The leather seats are some of the most comfortable I have experienced.The climate control system keeps the cabin very comfortable even during a long drive on a 97 degree day. The 18" alloy wheels and Goodyear Eagle Touring tires provide exceptional handling and a quiet smooth ride. Fit and finish is taken to a new level. The Aura's Euro influenced design and smooth lines create a real head turner.

Favorite Features

Without a doubt the ability to manually shift the 6 speed automatic transmission from the steering column. I also like the remote start feature.

Suggested Improvements

There's not much they can improve on what I consider a really great car, but I'm sure Saturn will come up with something!

Sporty XE For Me

Review

The Aura provides the roominess my family wanted while remarkably providing the sporty feel of a coupe which I wanted. The XE is quick off the line, handles cornering like it's glued to the road, and can be configured to turn heads. My Aura is Midnight Blue with the sporty 17inch twin-spoke alloys rims and a subtle fin on the trunk. I did not opt for the leather interior yet still find it fun to be inside.

Favorite Features

The steering wheel looks great with a racer-car design while still having the control for cruise, info, and stereo. The 17inch twin-spoke rims look awesome compared to the XR's bicycle- spokes.

Suggested Improvements

The hazard lights button should be moved to the steering wheel. It's a surprisingly long reach. Transmission gear indicator would also be great. Take the plastic cover off the engine - it looks ugly.

Review

I have been eyeing Aura's since they first came out. I decided to buy it for my wife even though she did not think she needed it. Two days later she loves it. I got the special edition package with the 18" wheels, Moroccan Brown leather, steering wheel controls and upgraded stereo. If the car would have been for me, I would have gotten the XR, as I am more of an enthusiast then she is, but I still love driving it. The build quality seems so tight and it is very quiet on the road. I find myself making excuses to go out just to drive it. As a 30+ year employee, I am very proud we finally made a car like this. Now lets get the other divisions up to the same standard.

Favorite Features

Interior and exterior styling, using my Verizon minutes fot the OnStar phone. Yes, you can! The upgraded stereo sounds fantastic.

Armrest for the back seat.

Great Buy

Review

I drove many different cars including the Altima and Camry to compare the noise and smoothness of ride. The Camry sport took the corners the easiest, but the Aura rode the smoothest. All in all these three cars handled almost the same so my decision came down to looks and interior. The Aura has by far the nicest dashboard setup and I love the 18 inch wheels. Car is a major head turner, and people are just drawn to the car while walking in parking lots.

Favorite Features

Interior setup, 18 inch wheels, and chrome strip down the side of car as well around the windows add a nice touch and really stand out on the black paint. Also love the look of the blinkers on the side of the car. Minor things, but really add to the car.

Haven't found anything yet, am very very happy with purchase!

Review

Purchased my Aura in February and so far I'm very satisfied. Great styling and performance. Many people have remarked on the great looks and are surprised when they discover it's a Saturn. A geat amount of equipment at an affordable price. I think Saturn and GM have a definite winner.

Quiet cabin, styling both inside and out, and powerful engine with good fuel economy.

Review

When we take our Saturn out on the road people just take second look and admire it. I like to put my foot down on throttle and feel the torque that the engine produces. It is fun to drive and now you’r e safe inside with side and front air bags. I think Saturn needs to advertise more about this wonderful car. Now I do by word of mouth

This car has class. But most of all its 100,000 mile warranty. ur Our XR handles very well.

Great Car GM!

Review

I looked at most of the competitor’s products over a 1 month period and kept coming back to the Aura. I wanted the XR but ended up choosing the XE. I got the XE fully loaded and it’s essentially the XR with a very few exceptions. I couldn't justify the extra $4K for 28 more HP and a 6 speed auto transmission. The XE performs very well in all areas. The build quality is excellent, the styling is eye catching, and the drive is wonderful. I'm back in a domestic automobile for the first time in over 10 years. If this is any indication of where GM is heading then it's a good sign. Think most fellow import buyers will feel the same if they give it a chance.

Styling is great. Looks good from every angle.

Suggested Improvements

Interior is good, but a bit bland for my taste.

Review

Silver with black leather interior looks sharp and classy. My XR looks like an Audi A6 with just a hint of Lexus. The car is tight, very quick, and has so many nice touches.

Favorite Features

18" wheels, paddle shifters, Euro styling.

Suggested Improvements

It's minor but I would swap the locations of the fog lamp button and throttle/break pedal adjustment switch.
