No history on 2007 9-5 because european delivery?

I'm looking at a used 2007 9-5 Aero and the dealer says no vehicle history report is available because the vehicle was originally acquired by the 1 original owner using Saab's European Delivery program, where you fly to Europe to pick up the car, drive it around, and then they ship it to the US (it is built for use in the US not in EU). Does this sound right to you? When ... Read More...

Re: 2007 9-5 2.3T One year report [sidv]

Wow, nothing like talking to yourself in a forum. I just wanted to say that in the sixteen and a half months (and a mere 10 posts overall in this forum) that I posted my one year review that my 9-5 has been absolutely flawless save for a very occasional rattle near the sunroof. The short term lease is about up and I will miss it quite a bit, it's been a really good car that ... Read More...

2006 Saab Navigation System

Just bought a 2006 Saab. Has the nav system, but no DVD came with the car. Are all DVD's compatible. For example, can I buy a 2005, 2006, 2007, or 2008 DVD and it will work. I plan on buying at ebay, is that a wise move? Read More...

Re: 2008 9-5 lease and rebates [shorebound]

I am also about to lease a 2008 9-5. Let me give you some quick tips. The $2500 cash to dealer, and the current Saab $1000 bonus cash are NOT valid on leases. In April, Saab did have a $1000 lease bonus. I am waiting for that to come back. I am hoping for a July 4th sale of some kind. Also - The only way to lease a Saab (if you can afford it) is with GM's SmartLease Plus program. ... Read More...

New Wagon

I am looking at replacing our 99V70 with a new (or slightly used) wagon - either a Saab 9.5 or another Volvo. Volvo is preferred at the moment mainly because Saab has little product in my area and overpriced. I am in Canada and looking at importing the Saab from US as the MSRP is close to $8k less for new. But - having owned a 2001 Saab 9.5 sedan, and the heavy depreciation, ... Read More...

Saab 9-5 Sedan

Just bought 2007 9.5 Aero Combi

Dealer in Maine took $6,777 off sticker, I test drove the car(25 miles on the clock) and fell in love. Have owned a 2000 and 2002 ARC sedans, both with V-6's. I did not know what I was missing. (But, I had basically zero problems with both cars, despite all the neg. comments on the V-6) Seats, power, handling, braking, HK sound system all super. Options include Visibility ... Read More...

Saab 9-5 Wagon

Re: 2007 9-5 2.3T One year report [sidv]

That is pretty much my opinion about my '06 wagon, except I find the stereo more than loud enough. Perhaps you need to adjust the base-line volume level. (Plenty of posts about this on saabnet.com). The only significant problem I have had was a bad sending unit in the gas tank which caused me to run dry when the guage was just barely touching the red; lots of annoying ... Read More...

The cheapening of the 9-5

2.3 4 vs. 3.0 V-6

I am on my 3rd 9.5. First two (2000 and 2002) we're V-6 powered, my 2007 is, of course a 2.3 260 HP turbo, Aero in this case. I used to be annoyed when folks picked on the V-6, I loved the power and smoothness of that engine, although that asymetrical turbo seemed to cause a weird "elastic" throttle response. Anyway, between the two V-6's, I put on combined 50,000 + miles ... Read More...

Saab 9-5 Excessive Brake Dust

Re: 2004 Saab 9-5 Aero - Excessive Brake Dust [jlamson]

This has been an issue for a long time, now solved. After 280K miles in a 2000 9-5 I now have a 2007 9-5. After 6,500 miles.....NO BRAKE DUST!! Nothing...nada! Contact eEuroparts for Saab OEM and Akebono ceramic pads (no dust). You can leave the dust behind you. Read More...
