2006 Saab 9-5 Road Test Ratings

The Saab 9-5 has a comfortable interior, but that's its strongest attribute. The materials aren't up to par and the performance lags behind other sedans in this price range.

Handling is competent, but not particularly stellar. Likewise, the turbo four-cylinder doesn't impress next to the V6 offerings typical of the segment.

High wind and road noise. Comfortable front seats.

Pleasing control layout, as long as you are willing to call the center console mounted ignition an eccentric, but lovable quirk.

Questionable material quality for a car in this price category.
