I keep reading messages about the great Saab deals people are getting and would appreciate some pricing info from the board "wizards". I know this sounds dumb but can anybody comment on the new Saab colors. My dealer doesn't have all the colors and I just can't buy another silver anything! Has anyone seen the "Hazelnut"? Do the dark colors drive people crazy due to dirt /scratches, etc because they sure are pretty! My son's suggestion that for $800.00 bucks you can "have it painted any color" did ... Read More...

Was planning on another Saab, this time buying an Aero (I have a 2000 9-5 SE coming up to lease-end). Local dealer still has a new 2002 Aero 5-spd that he offered for $31,500 (MSRP is $40K and change). This includes $500 owner loyalty and what I think is a hefty discount. I know Saab has been using turbos for decades....But that doesn't seem to be enough of an arguement to say the turbos are trouble free. It's like all domestic manufacturers have been making cars for decades too. But they still have questionable reliability. However, I will consider your suggestion of using Mobil 1. Based on my calculations, you should be able to get an Aero for around $32K. Invoice - $37157 Dealer Cash Discount - less $4000 Lease Discount - less $1000 New invoice - $32157 Based on the above, I don't see why a Saab dealer would not take about $32500 for an Aero, especially since Saab is in such bad trouble financially. I'm planning on getting a 2003 9-3 (waiting for the Arc next spring). Unfortunately, where I live in Chicago the only dealer that is remotely convenient to me is Perillo. Perillo has a lousy reputation (amongst my friends anyway) for customer service. Moreover, their Saab "dealership" is crammed into their Lincoln showroom, in a building that looks like it ... Does anyone know if Saab will be adding Navigation as an option to the 9-5 for 2003 (or 2004)? The folks on the web site only respond with "OnStar is currently available." Supposedly for 2004 Navigation will be available on the new 9-3 (it won't be available in the 2003 models. Damn...) Read More...
