9-3 Reliability

I have had two recent Saabs. My 2005 9-3 2.0t small turbo had few problems except needed rear brakes at 20,000 miles. Other than that, a few bulbs burned out..but that was it. The car got great mileage and was very comfy. Handling was not great. The car leaned like crazy in turns..very disappointing. It felt like they left out half of the suspension. Had the car into ... Re: to buy or not to buy [observer22]

New Nissan Sentras are ugly as sin. I never realized how awesome 2008-09 9-3's headlights look in the dark: http://hyperleggera.com/wp-content/images/Inline/2008_11_14_Saab_Turbo_X_15.jpg (pic doesn't do it justice, but it's the best I could find). I saw one on the road last night (had never seen one in the dark). Makes me want to buy one even more for the ... Read More...

Re: Need Advice on a 2008 9-3 convertible purchase [jayrider]

An inspection for a new car? If it is new (no miles) and purchased from a Saab dealership, an inspection would be a waste of money IMHO. I suppose it wouldnt hurt to do some homework/research on the dealership - some have better reputations than others. But at the end of the day, the (NEW) car will be in perfect condition upon delivery or you will have legal recourse ... Read More...

Re: Need Advice on a 2008 9-3 convertible purchase [esobel]

I really appreciate you doing that for me. Those are some good deals you found. I've seen people on the forum saying they got a 2008 as low as 24k which is hard to believe, but anything is believable in this economy. I live in Florida and the market for a convertible is much stronger it seems. I actually searched a 700 mile radius with my dealer and we didn't find much ... Read More...

Need Advice on a 2008 9-3 convertible purchase

Test drove a bunch of convertibles and liked the Saab the best. The sales person offered me 34,000 for a brand new 2008 9-3 convertible 2.0T (MSRP 42,385). I left the dealer with him down to 32,000. We talked again 2 weeks later and he moved it down to 29,000. Now we are at $27,700 and I'm feeling good about it. Any suggestions on whether to take this? Read More...

Re: Just bought a new Saab [theaktuary]

I just paid 24.7 for a 2008 2.0 convertible, brand new, with manual, 17" alloy wheels; cold weather package; and upgraded sound system. MSRP was 42.5. Read More...

Re: 2007 9-3 2.0T Sedan [kyfdx]

They're plentiful because a lot of them were leased and are now coming off of 2 and 3 yr leases. I wish I had the need for a new car- a used Saab would definitely show up on my short list. In a year or two, the supply of used Saabs will dry up as GMAC canned leasing for Saab sometime in 2008. But, somehow there are plenty of "former GM company cars" being offered for sale at ... Just bought a new Saab

I just bought a 2008 9-3 turbo X with 14 miles. The car was loaded with Nav, cold weather package, touring package and some really nice floor mats thrown in by the dealer. The car had a sticker of $47,500 and I paid $33,700 out the door. Price included all fees, etc. At first I was really worried and skeptical because the price was so low but after driving it and falling ... Read More...

Saab 9-3 SportCombi

Wheel Vibration

Hi guys, I just bought 2008 Saab 9.3 2.0 T with 15000 miles and for some reason I feel a pretty extensive wheel vibration when I stop with engine on and in drive mode. I went to the dealer and he told me that everything is okay with the car and that they drove the car and did not feel anything. But i do feel a strong vibration that is so annoying. I had maxima, lexus, audi, ... Read More...

Saab 9-3 Sedan

Reliability

We have a 2003 9-3 Linear (42k miles) which is really a fun car to drive (my wife particularly loves it). But I've almost had it with maintenance issues. Mechanically the car has performed almost flawlessly, but the lesser issues have begun to kill us. Here's what's gone wrong over the years: 1. 2003: TCS module went bad, replaced under warranty. 2. 2004 or 2005: ... Read More...
