  We just bought a brand new 2009 for 19,900 in the Northeast. We were led to believe that this is about 1,00 below factory invoice on this car.   Just bought the last new 2009 aero sedan available in Houston for $25.9K! Sticker is $44.9K. I've always liked Saabs but the high MSRP scared me off. I wish it would snow here!

  Guys, I am stumbled into a Saab dealer yesterday and could not believed the kind of deals that are available at this point. I noticed a 93 2.0T AWD and very interested. They are asking for $28k for the car and I am wondering what's the bottomline price I can possibly get. Thanks.

  I actually just purchased a 9-3 Saab Aero with an MSRP of $44,930 for essentially $15K off. If you have a GM family member and a non-GM product, you can get GMS pricing (through the end of the year) which was $41775.   With the current state of Saab I think you can get an 09 for way less than invoice. I wouldn't think that you'd be paying more than $34,000 for a new one with the $46,000 MSRP before taxes. I believe the $9000 manufactures rebate is still in effect on new purchases. Let us know what the dealer says if you make an offer.

  I also have a 2000 9-3 and the turbo bearings burned out at about 50,000 km. It seems that it is a design flaw. The turbo is too close to the exhaust manifold and it gets too hot.   Don't worry about the dealer losing money.. If he is, then it's only because that is all he can get for the car, and it's better to cut his losses.. That's a doubtful scenario, but so much the better for you... My local dealer is selling service loaner/demos that have similar stickers for $10K off MSRP..   There are saab dealers in st. louis advertising new 9-3's for under 25k. They only have a few so they are unloading them. Saab is not a big seller in this area but still has areas of the country where they are more popular and command better closeout prices.   I live in the Northeast area and am looking to purchase an 09 Saab 9-3, automatic, sunroof, and heated seats. I've read on the board that they are heavily discounted but not sure how much of a discount I should be looking for. Does 27K sound reasonable or can I do better than that?   My 2006 93 lease set to expire. Dealer desperate to sell me similar 2009 93. Willing to go as low as 22,500 on $31 MSRP or so and eat my last three payments. I know it makes mathematical sense. The resid value on the lease car is 17,500 or so. Still comes down to "Should I buy a Saab?" Any insights? Thanks.

  You could probably go a little bit lower: I'd say into the $34 range, although I have found ads with several dealers listing "former GM Company Cars" (typically, Aero XWD models with Navigation) in the $35-$36 neighborhood, so you might want to give that a look...

  I think your tmeline info is somewhat pessimistic.Saabs model year ends in Sept.,so 2009 models will be in production by July and Aug.of'08.I think Feb/March of '08 at the latest is more likely.

  If the car is being offered as a Saab Certified used car your total coverage is 6 years or 100,000 miles from date of original warranty coverage.
