Most Wanted Exotic
Winner: Ford GT
Sometimes retro works and sometimes it just looks old. While the GT may look nearly identical to its legendary forebear, everything else about this all-new exotic is thoroughly modern, a mix that results in electrifying performance and stunning good looks. From its supercharged 550-horsepower V8 to its ultrastiff aluminum frame, the GT is an exotic in every sense of the word. There are, however, some aspects of the GT that aren't so typical like the "reasonable" $150,000 price tag, fully functional interior and ease with which it can be driven at the limit. Put 'em all together and you get one of the most affordable, distinctive-looking and fun-to-drive exotics on the planet. With only a few thousand scheduled for production over the next few years, it will be admittedly rare, but for those who can get their hands on one it will be well worth the effort.
Honorable Mention: Bentley Continental GT
Who would have thought that Bentley would still be making cars at all in the 21st century, let alone a coupe as visually stunning and mechanically mouth-watering as the Continental GT? History aside, the newest member of the Bentley family not only offers the expected level of British charm and exotic exclusivity, it also delivers those goods with a surprisingly reasonable price tag ($150,000). Consider that the average Ferrari goes for well over $200K and the GT is an obvious bargain. With 550 hp, standard all-wheel drive and a shape that's every bit as eye-catching as a red Maranello, the GT can hold its own with the world's fastest despite its more genteel demeanor. If that's your style, this is your car.
