Most Wanted Coupe Under $25,000

Mini Cooper Winner: Mini Cooper

Having not been imported into the States since the year "Sergeant Pepper" debuted, most folks weren't even aware the Mini ever existed until now. The reincarnated version has been blessed with BMW genes and as such has incredibly precise steering and handling that does the original Mini proud. There are two versions: the Cooper and the Cooper S. The Cooper has 115 hp, while the supercharged S has 163 hp. Either way, you're getting a stylish and detailed coupe that makes other cars seem surprisingly ordinary.

Honorable Mention: Mercedes-Benz C-Class

At first glance, one may think the biggest reason to buy the C230 is to have the status of driving a Mercedes, albeit an entry-level one. But this is not the case as the hatchback Benz offers lively performance from its supercharged four, handling that seems to improve when the car is driven hard and a roomy backseat. Factor in a number of standard features (including stability control, side curtain airbags and dual-zone climate control) not available on similarly priced sport coupes, and it becomes clear that you're getting a lot more than a prestigious grille emblem.
