Minivan $10,000-$25,000
Winner: Dodge Caravan (twins - Chrysler Town & Country SX and Plymouth Voyager)
The minivan market makes up approximately eight percent of the U.S. new vehicle market, and Chrysler owns half of that share. The company invented the idea of a family room on wheels, and they've been able to stay one step ahead of the competition for the past 14 years. But times are changing, and minivans are getting better all the time - to put it bluntly, the competition is no longer a step behind. Except, of course, when it comes to value. The Caravan may not offer as much behind-the-seat storage space as its longer sibling with the Grand prefix, but this is one minivan that won't break the bank. It drives like a car, it can haul the entire family, and with a properly optioned SE model (with the 3.3-liter engine and Sport Option Package, which includes a firmer suspension, alloy wheels, fog lights and monochromatic trim), the Caravan is the most fun-to-drive minivan you can buy at this price.
