Our Xterra is still in the shop, recovering from its assault by the Chrysler Cirrus last month. Its pride is hurting, let us tell you. Of course, it was nowhere near a fair fight (see last month's update for details).

Our spunky red sport ute is certainly being missed, if only because it makes for one less red Xterra on highways which seem to be overrun with bright yellow variants of this model. Yellow is nice and all, but jeez - you'd think Nissan offered some special incentive on vehicles of that sunshine-and-mirth hue.

Enough of these irrelevant ponderings. We'll get back to you next month with a more informative report on the Xterra. Hopefully it won't take too much longer - we suspect there may be some difficulty in securing parts for such a fresh-faced new model.
