Top 10 Trucks for Driver/Front-Passenger Space for 2002
(Average of total head-, hip- and legroom)
By Erin Riches, Senior Content Editor , Edmunds.com Email
As roomy as cars like the Nissan Maxima and Lexus LS 430 are (they're number one
and two on the cars version of this list), neither can match the accommodations
offered by full-size trucks and vans. Of course, opting for a truck or
van has serious trade-offs (especially in areas like handling and fuel economy),
but if you need more room than a sedan can provide, perhaps one of these hefty
vehicles will find a warm spot in your driveway. To come up with our list, we
took the average of each vehicle's front head-, hip- and legroom.
