Re: May want out of a 2007 x3 lease 15Kmi/yr [hhgolf]

hhgolf......I'd try to get someone to assume the lease. Go to www.swapalease.com and post your vehicle there. It's a pretty good spot to get out of a lease you no longer want. I've picked up two vehicles there.

Took my 06 passat in for service, and while I was there, looked at the Routan. VW did a very nice job with the interior, and I like the VW front end, too. I asked the salesman if people were buying. Just as he was answering I saw a young family go out for a test drive, and another salesman putting a tag on a sold unit. Good times?

I like the cars in the background of the Dusie pictures. My garage should look like that. The Lancia looks rough but neat. So does that aluminium Daimler. The Celica is nice too. I don't think that run of the mill Japanese cars like these will ever fetch high numbers in the future. To every car person they're pretty much economy cars and nothing more. Not sure if I'd lust after one. Desoto Firedome: I like the pictures. I tried to copy one or tow but they're copyright protected  Otherwise, eys nice resto. The panel gaps in it are really off though, were cars built like that in the 50s? Was that the norm? Supercharged Seville: You wonder why there's no bids? $70k to build? I'd stop at $5k and cut my losses. Sellers of the New Yorker also have an awesome collection. Everything looks like new from a distance. It would be neat to see and drive them. Like toy companies always say: "Collect'em all!!"

Typical. The Soviet Union would have 50,000 workers at a typical Russian integrated steel mill whereas an American one would have 10,000. This was back in the heyday of Big Steel. It may not be American who will suffer, we already did. Other than specialty steel, other nations have the lions share of this once American industry. However, China wants the industry/jobs. Once they are forced out of business by a less efficient steel producer, the consumer also pays. In perfect competition the efficient keep their jobs and the consumer wins with lower prices.
Sensing a trend :)

Looks like the Sebring might be the early leader. Worst might also include something that was just a less than stellar idea rather than a real clunker too. Grist for the mill
