Justcue: "Man, glad I sold that Sob. Little bitty commission but it helped make my bonus." I'mSellingHondas "You're telling me. I won't touch those with a ten foot pole. Takes a certain buyer to buy those. I don't have the patience for them. I had a nightmare last night! Woke up this morning thought I was at a Saturn dealer" Greenbeans86: "Hey I'll bet you the Stealers go 15 and 0! The Patsies don't have a chance against them. That new Coup is really nice. Can't sell them below MSRP unless you know the GM." gMorrow: "I don't watch football much. Mrs. gM won't let me. Last time we went out car shopping the model A was still around." epinetree: "Well I guarantee the Patsies go 18-0. If not I'll buy a Nissan Sentra from Greenbeans but if they do than Greenbeans gives me a coupe" British Roving: "I had a great month! we are getting into the busy season around here. Instead of selling four cars as I usually do I'll be selling five!! Whoo Hooo! I can't wait until December comes around. I'll be rolling in the snow then!" JR Guy: "I hear you good buddy! Be like that here in the Rockies! And speaking of; did you watch that game last night? Yeah, GO ROCKIES!" bFrozen: "WoW five Land Grovers? How much off the sticker?" laurasdoodoo: "Next stop Idaho!" snakediesel : "I raced my Elantra against a Civic last month! Smoked me at the light! You got to watch to racers with the Folgers coffee can exhausts!" Mackabee: "It's deader than a cememtery around here. :( I tell you I get no respect! When I was a boy my mama took me to a dog show and I won!" to be continued...............

Enough with the Rover Grover already. If I don't hear about a Corvette soon I'm gonna plotz. What besides a 30 horsepower bump did the 08 Vette get? Is anybody sitting on a 2007 that just won't move?
Temperatures rising, ice caps shrinking...

That's a FACT... too bad it's taking place on Mars. A pretty inconvenient truth since Toyota, GM, or any other manufacturer hasn't set up shop there... YET :shades: This hysteria isn't new and has been going on for over 100 years. http://www.businessandmedia.org/specialreports/2006/fireandice/fireandice.asp It was five years before the turn of the century and major media were warning of disastrous climate change. Page six of The New York Times was headlined with the serious concerns of “geologists.” Only the president at the time wasn’t Bill Clinton; it was Grover Cleveland. And the Times wasn’t warning about global warming – it was telling readers the looming dangers of a new ice age. The year was 1895, and it was just one of four different time periods in the last 100 years when major print media predicted an impending climate crisis. Each prediction carried its own elements of doom, saying Canada could be “wiped out” or lower crop yields would mean “billions will die.” ...Those concerns lasted well into the late 1920s. But when the earth’s surface warmed less than half a degree, newspapers and magazines responded with stories about the new threat. Once again the Times was out in front, cautioning “the earth is steadily growing warmer.”... ... The New York Times ran warming stories into the late 1950s, but it too came around to the new fears. Just three decades ago, in 1975, the paper reported: “A Major Cooling Widely Considered to Be Inevitable.”... Thiry years ago, "scientists", some of the same ones currently screaming about global warming, were telling us that we had to act NOW and melt the polar ice caps to save ourselves from being buried under glaciers. They had me convinced then. They were scientists weren't they?? So forgive me for believing that the planet is NOT in a precarious situation based on the VERY selective observations of some who pick and chose only the evidence that supports their dire conclusions. Fool me once, shame on me...
Update on 300ZX and S2000
by scanty on Thu Sep 23 07:28:32 PDT 2004
I know I'm throwing a lot at you these days, but just to clarify, the $9500 was the trade allowance on the '99.5' Pathfinder, which was around your "high 8's up to low 9's" range. The Z will be headed to retail road if I'm going to make this happen. The S2000 looked a little unloved. Front tires were well worn Bridgestone Potenza's (OE?), rears were new looking Dunlops. That might work on the autocross course, but not on a dealer lot. It looked rough in places, some dents and paint scrapes. I think it's a pass on that one, when there are others like it that are still in the wrapper for about the same $. 31k miles is a bit on the high side, but Grover is out in the sticks. Thanks for checking the carfax for me.

Report Run Date: 09/22/2004 VIN: JHMAP11442T002423 2002 Honda S2000     Event Date Event Location Odometer Reading Data Source Event Detail 04/08/2002 GROVER, MO Motor Vehicle Dept. REGISTRATION EVENT/RENEWAL 04/12/2002 GROVER, MO 133 Motor Vehicle Dept. TITLE (Title #:PD215606) (Lien Reported) 04/23/2004 GROVER, MO Motor Vehicle Dept. REGISTRATION EVENT/RENEWAL         ==================================               So far the history looks ok ...             A little convert "Z" action huh.? .. don't see many of these, 123k, black with the fact top and the daylight seats, nice combo, did some service, we got the handshaker, needs a little visit at Dr. Dent, no Dutch Boys, new sneakers and the stoppers to go with, it actually sounds nice ....                  It would probably see the mid to high $5's, maybe the low low $6's on the trade side - 123,000 miles my friend .... $9,500.? sounds like a little trade allowance to me, just sold a 96 in red with 42,000 "in the wrapper" miles for $16,9 and the only thing this one needed, was a new owner and it's got that now ...... down the path to Retail Rd, clean and ready to go with a super Ad, $9,900 *asking* and that bad boy gets a new owner for $8,9/$9,5 ....                 Now the S2000, the color is right, miles are semi-tall and if it's also "in the wrapper" and glows in the dark, then the dealer probably has the super tall $19's, low $20's in it, this time of the year in Big Mo I have a feeling that $21,5/$21,9 gets a new driveway ....                      Let me know what happens.!                           Terry :)

I just purchased an a4 and didn't look into the reliability of it prior to leasing, but I had a 2004 325i. It was in the shop a lot, all because of computer problems, I almost think they over enginer some of those cars with too many gadgets. The computer system would malfunction every couple weeks and I would have to take it in, finally they took the car back and i ended up getting an X5. Never had any problems with the X5 and haven't had any yet with the audi, which I love by the way!
