Just Buying a CX-7 now
by afrocelt on Thu Sep 28 11:37:31 PDT 2006
Hi all. After weeks of reading up on these posts and waffling between vehicles, My girlfriend and I decided on the CX-7. Got an Ice Blue Touring AWD with Bose/Moonroof and preffered equipment package. Price was 28,088 including dealer fee and before before tax, title, etc. We even argued in 3 years of oil changes and tire rotations at the dealership. For those shopping for the vehicle, I spend time in the Milwaukee/Chicago area but live in Green Bay. Prices in Chicagoland are quite steep as this car is in demand. If you're willing to drive, both Van Dyn Hoven Mazda in Appleton and Holiday Mazda in Fond Du Lac have 10-20 on the lot and are willing to go wll below MSRP already (we got within 250 invoice price off of edmunds). I guess the best place to buy really is in smaller markets. :)
2007 Buying Experience
by caffeinated on Sat Jul 29 16:49:11 PDT 2006
I just bought my silver 2007 G6 Convertible GTP at Holiday Pontiac in Fond du Lac, WI. They have no-haggle pricing. The sales price on the tag was 400 less than the sticker. I jumped on ithaving come from a dealership in Milwaukee that wanted to start at 3,000 above sticker. My family is absolutely loving it. My wife says that the car makes her want to go places. I did create an MP3 CD to cerify that wouldn't work. That was the case, MP3 CDs cannot be read by the stereo. It just spit it out at me like a kid taking a bite out of a bar of baking chocolate
Keyless entry problems
by railcon on Fri Jan 13 14:14:20 PST 2006
I have a '96 Legacy Outback and after trying to reprogram the remotes I realized there is no button on the wiring harness near the keyless entry controller. What I did find is a broken brown wire in the harness (I presume where the switch is suppose to be) and a white wire with a black trace coming out the side of the controller, just hanging loose. Any ideas? I would like to put everything back the way it's suppose to be but those two wires have me a bit baffled as to where they go!

Round trip was 180 miles? Madison to Fond du Lac is only about 70 miles one way. :confuse: Are you on the far west side of mad-town, or did you have some city driving in Fond du Lac too?

The 22150 deal fell through at the last second. Very bad Finance officer so we walked out. That afternoon emailed another dealer and made the deal for 22K and picked it up the next morning. v6 Manual with leather/auto dim mirror/bose/all the airbags.... etc... 22K even. Holiday Mazda in Fond du lac WI. I can't say enough of how easy they were to deal with after the bad experience...Sales guy and finance officer were extremely nice. No games. Well worth the extra trip. The car is very nice IMO.
2006's on the lot where I bought my 2005 tonight
by ciras3 on Fri May 20 19:56:27 PDT 2005
I picked up my 2005 Sonata tonight at Van Horn Hyundai in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. They had some 2006's on the lot and in the showroom. They have a poster in the dealership of the 2006 Sonata and it looks way cool. Then I looked at the one they had on the showroom floor and I'm not sure if I like it more than the 2005 I just picked up tonight. I guess my .02
