Under two bucks...
by andre1969 on Wed Nov 12 05:07:51 PST 2008
is spreading rampant through Maryland. I was out and about yesterday, and saw a member price of $1.99 at the BJ's in Bowie. $1.98 at the Costco in Arundel Mills (I think that area's called Hanover). And just south of Baltimore, I saw a few $1.99's at regular gas stations. Unfortunately, I wasn't driving, otherwise I would've filled up! Closer to home, the two gas stations between home and work are holding out at $2.25 at Citgo, $2.36 at Shell. As for that "Slowly I turn", bit, wasn't it Beavis and Butthead? :P
Down to $2.46 per gallon...

at the Costco in Hanover, Maryland that I normally go to. The Shell on my way into work, in Seabrook, MD, was down to $2.799 this morning. On the way home yesterday it had been $2.979.
LL Bean Partnership Deals
by sjd_boston on Thu Oct 09 07:14:25 PDT 2008
I just snagged an 08 Outback 2.5i LL Bean Limited with VDC and NAV for 25,500 at Planet Subaru in Hanover, MA it had under 100 miles on it and was considered used.. Subaru had set aside a number of LLB cars to be Exec Demo's. They were never deployed for use. Once they broke the marketing agreement with LLB, they could no longer use the cars are demo's (has something to due with advertising restrictions). Subaru then autioned these cars off to dealers. If you due a search on Yahoo Auto's for used 2008's you will see these at a few dealers with less the 200 miles (sort by mileage). Planet has another 08 Outback 2.5i LLB (non-limited = no leather, but does have NAV) for around 21K. Dealer was top notch also. I purchased the car over the phone from Europe. Wife and kids came into Logan and were met by the dealer. They took them to the dealership and they left 20 minutes later in the new car.

We're cutting back here as well. Unless it is absolutely necessary and the request makes it through the proper channels, we don't travel (even to our local plant up in Hanover near the Iowa border). The sales personnel are really the only ones that are somewhat free to travel, as they have company cars, but they have to try to resolve issues or gain sales by phone, video conferencing or email first. Also, trips are being combined as much as possible more than ever. Before a sales or tech call in two somewhat close areas may be handled at different times of the week or month. Now, if we are going to be in an area where they are multiple customers we call the others to see if there are any issues or things that can be resolved. So in this since, the higher fuel / travel costs are helping us be more efficient and spurring cost savings.
Great Deal On My 2008 Rogue SL AWD
by renogeorge on Thu May 08 19:16:10 PDT 2008
I got a great deal last Friday on my 2008 SL AWD Rogue, with moonroof, floor mats, and more at Pohanka Nissan in Fredericksburg, VA. . I dealt with them by email first and after getting the figures went there from Maryland (thru AAA Buying Service which recommended Pohanka) and the deal and figures were exactly the same as in the email. They were very nice, professional and did everything they could to make me happy. What a great place to deal with and what a great car. I love my Rogue. They also gave me the most $ for my trade in. I tried all of the Nissan dealers in the Baltimore, MD and Hanover, Pa area, but this dealer was the best. I have 400 miles on it so far and I just filled up the gas tank and I computed 25 mpg.
