my black magic, newbies
by corinne7 on Sun May 25 19:45:29 PDT 2008
hello, i bought my bonni new at a dealership in columbus oh in 1993. iv'e been in love with her ever since!. my ex husband on occasion would pronounce that i "love that car more than he", can't argue with that ! i coddle her. i don't drive her very far, we wash, dry and wax. take her to the "doctor" for check up's. ie: oil changes on time, service when needed, and feed her high octane fuel, we're now rearing to go.........home. :) :) . we've accumulated 97,000 miles, thats not bad considering her age is it? black magic is ....well...black..... sse, supercharged with tan leather interior, sun roof, tinted windows, pin stripping and along with my mid life crisis a few years back i had installed 12" sub woofer and a big a+@!!!ss amplifier in her trunk. we seriously rock ! ! now heres the question.... i bought her with the " gold package" i've inquired about this on other bonneville forums and i'm gonna call my main man , skip, tues to get his input. skip is the man who sold me the bonni back in 1993, he is still with the dealership and we've become friends. the bonni has gold trimmed emblems, door badges (no stickers) and gold cross laced wheels. pretty huh?? so would this be what you guys think also? and if so, does this 'gold package' deem my bonni... ummm special, rarer etc?????? thanks for being here in this cool place to share, corinne

I am currently listening to two CDs, both from Verve: Abbey Lincoln's Abbey sings Abbey and River [the joni letters] Music and lyrics by Joni Mitchell. Sang by herself featuring Norah Jones, Tina Turner, Corinne Bailey Rae, Luziana Souza and Leonard Cohen. Arranged by Larry Klein and Herbie Hancock. Musicians: Herbie Hancock, Whine Shorter, Dave Holland, Vinnie Colaiuta, Lionel Loueke. I am enjoying both very much. Any comment? Regards, Jose

We bought a new 2005 Honda CRV with the intention of towing a light camper trailer. Honda’s recommended max tow weight un braked 600kg =1,323 lb.. Braked 1200kg =3,526 lbs.... I believe the max recommended tow weight for the CR-V is 1500 lbs. From Edmunds Specs: Performance: Base Number of Cylinders: 4 Base Engine Size: 2.4 liters Base Engine Type: Inline 4 Horsepower: 156 hp Max Horsepower: 5900 rpm Torque: 160 ft-lbs. Max Torque: 3600 rpm Maximum Towing Capacity: 1500 lbs. Drive Type: AWD Turning Circle: 34.1 ft. Kip

the only solution we can come up with is to remove the spare wheel if we are going off road at all which causes a storage problem. Has anyone else came across this problem and worked out a solution? Throw it in the trailer? Fit a mount on the back of the trailer? Don't go off roading with the trailer? I don't think that even Jeep owners go off roading with trailers.
Towing with braked trailer.

First of all I hope I have got this right as I am converting from Australian Kilos to US lbs. We bought a new 2005 Honda CRV with the intention of towing a light camper trailer. Honda’s recommended max tow weight un braked 600kg =1,323 lb Braked 1200kg =3,526 lb The camper trailer we bought weighed in at 350kg = 771 lb We worked it out that loaded it would be close to the 600kg =1,323 lb So we decided to get push brakes fitted to the trailer while it was being built to be on the safe side and to make it easer on the CRV. Now we find that on right hand lock (especially going through a V dip) the handle on the tow ball hitch hit’s the spare wheel, going along the highway it’s OK but going over steep driveways or setting the trailer up on uneven ground it could put pressure on the spare wheel and damage the tailgate if you are not very careful, going off road with it would be asking for trouble, the only solution we can come up with is to remove the spare wheel if we are going off road at all which causes a storage problem. Has anyone else came across this problem and worked out a solution?
