Got '08 EX-L Cherry Red (in SF Bay Area) with Wheel Locks and Ghost foot print (which is a useless thing as far I think) for 26.3K+ tax + dmv Dealer(Stevens Creek) also sold me re-fundable extended warranty(7yr / 80 K Miles) for 1200 bucks. Had also quote from them for touring no pax for 33.1 K. But when I reached there they had only couple of colors which I am was interested.

I was at Coconut Creek Hyundai yesterday 7/31/ 2008 and purchased a black on black Genesis with the tech package. I pick it up today. They had three of them. While I was there they did a dealer swap for a red with beige interior and drove it off the show room floor. I paid list price plus tax title and registration. Before going to Coconut Creek I had been to another dealer who told me over the phone they would lease one at the same price that Jeff had posted a week or so ago but when it came to making the deal they wanted a larger down payment and almost $100 more per month.
Re: Synchros stuck in Geo Metro 5- speed manual trans [droidbot7000]

I think it would be worth adding a liquid graphite penetrating solution to the transmission, to see if it frees up the synchros. I use Kano Labs "Penephite" for such purposes. I've found that the 5 speed transmission in my Metro is extremely sensitive to the type of lubricant I use in it. Metros have a special situation in that respect, because the transmission and the differential share the same lubricant. But most differential oil contains extreme pressure friction reducing additives, which if used in the Metro transaxle, will interfere with the operation of the synchros. Red Line makes a synthetic gear oil which does not have those friction modifiers in it. I used it for many years, but found it still did not shift smoothly when the transmission was cold. I eventually found that a special purpose lubricant called Golden Spectro 75W-90; GL-5 full synthetic gear oil, worked better than anything else I've ever seen. It can be found at many motorcycle shops. And I add about 3 ounces of Tufoil additive to it, when I fill the transaxle. That further improved the shifting, and also quieted the transmission. Incidentally, Suzuki also recognizes the synchro problem. Their recommendation, in the Metro owner's manual, is to briefly pause in neutral during each shift. I do that, and find it helps a lot; but many of today's drivers are not happy when they are behind someone who shifts like that. Joel

Weren't they ALL beige? Actually, I remember there was a red one dumped in the woods near my Granddad's house when I was a kid. For some reason, those woods seemed to attract a lot of junk cars, and most of them were VW's. There were also two Bugs. One was blue and the other was kind of off white. There was also a Karman Ghia, partially buried in rubble. Part of that area had been filled in for a school, and the Karman Ghia was at the edge, sort of half in, half out of the embankment. Now that I think of it, there was another VW back there, in beige. It was similar to that Squareback, but seemed a bit shorter, and more of a fastback. There was also an early 60's Falcon 2-door sedan in the creek, and an early 60's Corvair that looked like the fire dep't had practiced on its roof, cutting all the pillars on the driver's side and then peeling it over. Sometime in the early 80's, a cleanup committee was organized and those old cars were hauled out of there. I think they just threw some more rubble down on the Karman Ghia to totally bury it, though. There was also a stripped down car frame that they missed. Not sure what it was, exactly, but it had that wasp-waisted X-frame look that GM used in the late 50's and early 60's. It's been ages since I've been out that way, but I think it's still there. And there's a spot where the creek cuts close to the edge of the school's property, with about a 30 foot embankment. I think every once in awhile, a car still ends up down in there!
Re: 08 Red Azera [pegasus17]

Pegasus17, Fitzmall.com is good. I was trying to come as close as possible to the price from a dealer close to me. If i had to go to Tampa to fitzmall , the gas there and back as well as other travelling cost would have been around $300. So in reality i saved a good $400 with Coconut Creek auto mall. By the way i had 6 miles on my odom. when i put the down payment. When i picked it up it had 6 miles on the odom. That was a good two weeks later.

i used the fitzmall price to shop around. The closest fitzmall is in tampa. I live in Miami, i called fitzmall and got the otd price before i went with Coconut Creek auto mall. When i quoted the OTD price to Charlton @ cocnut creek he laughed and asked what color i wanted. He beat fitzmall by $100and threw in a year of oil changes for free. Now this was good for me becuase i saved a lot of money on Gas if i had to go to tampa. As Soon as i got the otd price from Coconut creek ( on the phone) I put a down payment with my cc right then on the phone, got the vin and odometer miliage. schedualeda time to go and pick it up. I set up financing with my bank, and sold my car privatly. So when i got the dealer i was met by the salesman with my keys and my car was detailed and ready to go. I test drove it got back to the dealership signed the papers and gave them two checks, one from my bank and a personel check for the down payment. No issues or problems. I set up the whole deal from my house, on the phone. The otd price they qouted me is what i got becuase i did not allow them the oppertunity to rape me.
