Am I supposed to see a difference between that and the current one? I think the hood bulge is different ... maybe the headlights. Nothing that makes it stand out, though. I have to disagree. They fixed what wasn't broken (the styling) along with part of what was broken (the Fisher-Price interior) and left the weakest link (the base engine) undisturbed. Compare this to the new V6 Camaro or even the 3.5L Challenger and it's clear Ford has missed an opportunity. Why not install the 3.5 Duratec from the 2010 Fusion? Cost. That's why. Dang.

I saw the opposite of this not long ago. Waiting at a light where there are 2 lanes going straight and 1 lane for left-turners in each direction. The left-turners on both sides get a green arrow while all other lanes have red. Green arrow lights and someone going straight in front of me takes off across the intersection. Luckily the left turner facing us hesitated. It is quite often someone in this situation takes their foot off the brake at the sight of the green arrow, only to realize their mistake and reapply the brake. This was the first time I saw someone not give it a second thought and just drive right through.

I am having a hard time even finding an 08 MDX. I live in the Philadelphia Pa area. Some dealer have them listed online in inventory, but when I contact them they are all gone. If anyone knows a dealer in the PA, NJ, DE area with 08s left please let me know.
Squeaky Noises when turning the car
by deutsch on Tue Nov 18 06:30:19 PST 2008
I have a 2003 xterra which has been running great since I have had it. I took the car in for a service and told them about my problem and they checked it out and said the car was fine. Every time I turn left or right it seems like the power steering tightens up and it makes a sound. This is the first time I have lived in Cold Weather and was wondering if that might be the problem? or if I need to do something to the power steering? This all started when winter came around.

Silly site. The author blames "interlocking ties" for the failure of American cars to sell in the Japanese market. The real reason was Detroit's refusal to build cars suitable for Japan's left-hand traffic. (Would you buy a car with the steering wheel on the wrong side?) And why does he give the Germans a pass? The Japanese may sell more units, but the top end of the market, which the Germans have dominated for decades, accounts for a huge chunk of the profits. As far as its bottom line is concerned, GM would be in much better shape if it sold fewer Chevies & more Caddies. Luxury is where the money is. But my main gripe with these "Buy American" guys is that they don't understand this basic fact: you don't have to wave the flag to get most of us to buy American if you're building exciting cars.

I followed winstonscifi's lead and called a local dealer that had about 18 Crossfires still in stock. They faxed me an offer to sell a manual coupe (only two left with stick shifts) for $16,080 plus TTL, or an automatic coupe w/out nav for $17,400 plus TTL. The salesman was very honest and told me that they were planning on sending any cars that didn't sell to auction by the end of the month, and that he honestly didn't know what they would fetch at auction. I am torn because the two seat only config with limited trunk space could be very inconvenient at times, though the price is appealing. For the manual, I'd be OTD for $17,224 for a new '08 with 12 miles on it.
