2004 Honda Odyssey EX-RES 2 year lease question
by berea1 on Sun Jul 11 08:47:28 PDT 2004
Referring back to my previous message, are the July incentives out? If so, please provide me with the 2 year lease numbers for 12K/year and 15K/year numbers. The MSRP is $ 28,230, and the sales price is $ 25,440. I live in Berea, OH. For kfsaer in #11829, I have a June, 2004 quote of $ 301.73 plus 8% sales tax from Sunnyside Honda in Middleburg Heights, OH. The selling price is $ 25,440, the residual was 71%, the money factor was 0.00113, and the MSRP was $ 28,230 for the EX-REL. There was only a down payment of $ 441.36, which included the first month payment of $ 325.86, which was $ 301.73 plus 8 % sales tax for Cuyahoga County, OH and $ 115.50 for documents and temporary tag. Hope that helps.

where the magic happens...

I just thought I'd toss up a shot of Corsa in Berea, Ohio. It was a real neat place, and if you own a Corsa system and are in the area, it's worth a visit.
Corsa Aurora...
by rjs200240 on Fri May 17 09:37:20 PDT 2002
Apparently it's been done in a factory effort. I knew Corsa was on the C5 Indy pace car and the STSi Le Mans pace car, but I didn't know this... And to think how many times I've visited their site to hear the Northstar sing through their pipes without ever looking at the press releases. This is from July 2000: BEREA, OH – In the tradition of past Indy and Daytona 24 Hour pace car C5 Corvettes, CORSA Performance's patented* Power-Pulse RSC™ exhaust systems were selected for this year's Oldsmobile Aurora Indy Pace Car, and the special Cadillac Seville STSi safety cars used to pace the 24 Hours of Le Mans. CORSA's patented Power-Pulse RSC™ (Reflective Sound Cancellation) muffler technology provides a totally unrestricted, straight-through exhaust path with up to 40% more flow than stock. This unique technology cancels unwanted interior exhaust noise and resonance by canceling the offending frequencies inside of the muffler, allowing the pleasing power pulses to be heard. The sound is bold and powerful at full throttle and whisper-quiet at cruise and highway speeds. GM's luxury sport sedans are capable pace cars right off the showroom floor, however, preparing for severe duty and having the opportunity to showcase the car's full potential is what pace car programs are all about. When it came to getting "just the right exhaust sound" both the Aurora and Seville pace car development teams chose CORSA. CORSA founder and president Jim Browning remarked, "we really like working on these pace car programs with GM. We tune our Power-Pulse RSC™ mufflers to each specific application. This is a good development exercise for us and it is a good way to expose our muffler technology to groups of factory engineers and race fans around the world." Now I need to scour the web for pictures of the 2000 Aurora Indy Pace Car from behind... Found some: http://www.indypacecars.com/2000.html I've never seen the 3.5 Aurora with the reverse color scheme. Interesting. The tips on the 4.0 look like the stock ones, but it's hard to tell.

When was that test of the classic Aurora? I'm a little bit surprised that the new Aurora isn't faster. Olds expected the new Aurora to be about .5 seconds faster in the 1/4 (and I'm sure they did some comparisons). However, according to C&D's tests it wasn't. I wonder if the classic C&D tested was a prototype rather than a production model. Most other car magazines had the classic doing the 0-60 in about 8 seconds, not the 7.6 that C&D claimed. I wonder if C&D got a prototype that had a little extra juice. Garnes, I know you think the classic has more power, but I do wonder. The new one only dropped .3 points of compression which isn't inconsequential, but also isn't huge. In exchange it got bigger intake valves and a better intake tract. Also, the addition of roller followers, which do make a difference (on small-block Chevy's, a roller cam and roller rockers can free up about 10 hp), and coil-on-plug ignition which can deliver about 30% more voltage. Plus, the car is about 160 lbs lighter (which isn't huge but also isn't inconsequential). I just wonder if C&D's numbers in this case are the best comparison. Unfortunately nobody seems to care about the Aurora anymore and there aren't too many other magazines that tested it, or at least that tested it extensively. I think I have decided against buying a GTech like product. It seems like a lot ov money for something that doesn't actually do anything. I mean, the car won't be any faster... I'll just know how fast it is. Some day I'll get the Corsa system... I did get a K&N and put it in. Not really sure if it made a difference, but I'm sure it didn't hurt. Actually, I drive my car pretty gently most of the time. I'm mainly interested in the Corsa because of it's nice sound rather than the performance gains (although that would be nice). 800Watt, I see what you mean about that seam on the white Razzi car. It does look a bit weird. I too like the grey peices on the front and back of the classic Aurora. It works in harmony with the shape. It looks a little weird without it. Actually, I'm not usually a big fan of ground effects kits. I wonder how much of an "improved" look you could achieve by just getting 17-18" wheels and a subtle spoiler... I'm also not usually a fan of spoilers. To me they usually indicate that the designers couldn't get the rear to look right so they covered it up with a spoiler. The classic has a nice rear and I don't really think the spoilers help it. I always though Corvettes with spoilers had been ruined. The Aurora isn't quite as anti-spoiler, but I don't think it needs one to finish the rear. Just my thoughts and opinions... Oh, I took a trip to Chicago and got about 24.5 mpg up there and about 24 back. I drove a bit faster back, and there was a lot of winds. Rained both ways... I didn't stop in Berea (to Corsa) as I didn't have time. I did swing by Cleveland for lunch with family, though. It's a nice place as far as big cities go. I wouldn't mind living in the midwest.
mileage
by garnes on Wed May 08 11:43:38 PDT 2002
Don't forget wind. It can make a HUGE difference. A 15 mph head wind at 80 mph and your car sees 95 - a 15 mph tail wind and the car sees 65. I've experienced this many times on long east-west road trips. The mileage varies greatly sometimes. RJS - let us know how the air mod works out. Sounds cool. Also, if you are in the Cleveland area, there is an Olds dealer down the road from Corsa in Berea. They put a Corsa system on a 2001 and it may be the "dealers" car and available for a listen. I'm sure Jim Browning Jr. could give you the name and number of the place. I'll bet it's the car pictured on caddyinfo as well. I am going to get their number to call and hopefully get some feedback. I'm still considering the system. I wonder what difference the 13% less exhaust per rpm would make to the sound quality compared to the STS I heard. Any thoughts?
