I hate the whole car buying process so I was thinking about using a buying service this time to shop for a new Accord. Hoping to save some money and headaches! [jipster]: by graphicguy on Sat Sep 13 05:44:25 PDT 2008; Jipster....while I've seen some of what you're talking about up across the other side of the OH river, it's not as rampant as what you describe regarding dealer add-ons. Don't see it at all on the highlines. But, they command more margin without resorting to add-ons. Just curious, is it at all possible to get a Kia that's straight off the truck before they had time to add-on everything? If not, maybe time to look at something in the same general range as a Kia? Hyundai? Toyota? Honda? Or, make the trip to the Buckeye state to buy a car? How do they justify the dealer installed stuff? I can't imagine buyers take too kindly to having those "options" stuffed down their throats.

EX-L with RES near Columbus Ohio: by binthinkn on Sun Aug 31 14:44:25 PDT 2008; I just purchased a 2008 EX-L with RES and complete tow package at Lancaster Ohio dealer (Buckeye Honda). With a friend and I working on this and a competing dealer (I highly recommend working on two dealers for the best price - even though it seems like a lot of effort), I got the OTD price to 31K, which includes tax, title and license with the tow package (normally around 1,000 installed). The cash price for the vehicle was $28,911, and there was 1,822 in tax and 250 in document fees (title and license). I have been working with this dealer for some time and they were good to work with. The vehicle was not a demo nor did it have unusual issues.
