RX400h Price
by swwinla on Mon May 26 23:19:26 PDT 2008
Just picked up a loaded RX400h in Brandywine Mica today here in SoCal. Price came to $479 over invoice when you include the profit the dealer made on the iPod kit. I'm assuming that's good, but there's so little activity in this forum it's hard to know. Other dealers I spoke with were all ~$1200 higher. Sweet car in a sweet color. The wife is very happy.

Thank you very much. In my area the 08s are nearly gone. Only one dealer in three (Prestige) has any. My wife ONLY wants Brandywine Mica with Black interior so I will have to go with an 09. I wish she would get a job. :D

Perrier water? Gimme a Schuylkill Punch, a Delaware Daquiri, a Brandywine Brandy, a Pennypack Pinot Grigio, or Tacony Tequila instead. Tap water is fine for me. That which does not kill you makes you stronger.

I think it's against forum rule to post the name, but I can tell you that if you go to Putnam Lexus website, click on 'Meet Our Staff' and he's the last person in the Internet Sales team. He's pretty straightforward as I told him I don't want no games, and he didn't play any. I think he told their finance team that I want no hassle before we signed the papers, so we only spent less than 20 minutes in the finance dept. (now that's a record!) You can also try Lexus of Fremont as I had a good impression from them, and personally I would avoid Stevens Creek Lexus as they didn't play nice when I dealt with them. IMHO it's the best if you can get a Japan-made unit. Better built quality means lesser chance to get a lemon. Right before I purchased my car I called most of the Bay Area dealers, and there were only Brandywine Mica (always Japan made) and few Breakwater Blue cars that were made in Japan. Hope this helps, Tim

Most of them manufacture in Canada, however, I was told by one dealer, and then confirmed by another, that the Brandywine Mica color is ONLY manufactured in Japan due to something in the paint that Canada will not allow. I don't know if this is true of other colors as well.

BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP!!! I was quoted an internet price $40,500 + $100 for document fee (+ temp tag, tax) for Lexus RX350 AWD 2008 model with Bradywine exterior color with pemium plus and nav by sales persons (two people) via email. This was going to be an out of state sale. They offered attractive pricing. They also called me several times to tell me that the customer service is extremely good. Several days later I called and left multiple messages for both of them asking them to call me back so that I could put down deposit to reserve the car. They did not call back. Finally, got hold off one of them. He asked me to stop by the dealership. Drove two hours to get to the dealership, could not speak with him. His colleagues told me that they sold all their Brandywine color cars. I told the manager about the extremely unethical behavior of the sales people. Told me that he was sorry, but showed no effort to remedy the situation or interest in changing the behavior of the sales persons. This whole situation cost my pregnant wife and me few hundred dollars for a rental car and four hours on the road.
