Of course we did some wine tasting while at Napa Valley, how can one not to do so while there? Fortunately one of my buddies doesn't drink so that worked out great for me and the other one. I brought 8 bottles back with me (5 red, 3 white) and I am planning on bringing 4 bottles with me back to Atlanta during Christmas. We only went to 3 vineyards, Rutherford Grove is my favorite, their Petite Sirah is just simply amazing. I can't wait to go back!

We paid LESS for 87 octane gasoline in California June 2/3 and June 7 on return trip than we did in Utah. We also paid less June 23 and June 28 in California on return trip than in Utah. Gasoline was $ 2.839 at ARCO and Costco in Garden Grove, $2.919 at Chevron in Anaheim, ($ 3.039 at Chevron just 2 blocks north of Disneyland on Harbor Blvd), and $ 2.979 for 87 octane EXXON in Barstow which is the same as in West Valley City Sinclair last night. Check gas prices on the MSN network. :shades: http://autos.msn.com/everyday/GasStations.aspx?m=1&l=1&zip=92802&x=22&y=6

The KBB value is practically a joke in the Mid-Ohio Valley and Central Ohio area. NOBODY can use their info. If you want the closest value to what a dealer will give you, or what you can expect to get from an individual buyer... use the NADA guide. Every vehicle I've ever bought or sold I've compared to the NADA guide and it's the closest to that secret black book the dealerships use. I know many credit unions use the NADA book for loan values. I just ran my 2006 Torrent and it also listed a trade value around 16-17K and sale value around 19K. Take that for what it is... not the gospel, just my experience.
Best cost for natural gas?

It is best to just check out the stations in your area, or the common route you drive. I have a station (Moreno Valley) that is a bit out of the way, and now is only 2 cents less than my local (Hemet) station so it is not worth the inconvienience. Also reliability, such as the station in Ontario, last check it was 1.72 but of the five or so times I went there, twice the card reader would not connect, and the (only 3,000psi) fills are not that good. I have never had any other stations that I could not get fuel. Murphy had been posting the fuel prices on his site, but I dont think many too prices are up to date. www.cngmotors.com For locations check out http://www.cleancarmaps.com and Yahoo group http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/civicgxngv/ there is a pdf file with calif stations. I usually post the prices of the stations I visit on the first day of the month when they adjust the prices. This month Clean Energy bumped their prices up on the 15th, their current price is 2.229 (Long Beach, Garden Grove, Moreno Valley) check their site for more locations. Welcome to the NGV club! J
MPG and ramblings

The newer GXs seem to get better mileage than my '99, but I have been getting about 37-38 on my commutes lately. Also it seems I get better mileage filling from my local source (Hemet-RTA $2.249) than the Moreno Valley CE station. I did notice the CE stations say min 88% methane, where my local one says min 90%, can this make any difference? With the road construction in Moreno Valley now, I cant easily get to the station without a lot of stop and go crap, so now doesn't even justify saving the 10 cents difference a gge, which is only about 40 cents per fillup. Usual fillup is 3.8-4.0 gge for around 145 miles. Gasoline this morning was 3.03-3.09 (Hemet) and at the Chevron in Brea they were lining up for gas at 2.85 a gallon. The only time I have to wait for fuel is in Garden Grove, the station is very busy with taxis. Why is CE in Northern CA 10 cents less? Usually the Gasoline is more expensive up there. J :shades:
CE Prices/Fills/Miles

CE in Moreno Valley is still 1.899, but I can never get a 100% fill according to their readout. I usually get 82-89%. At the CE in Garden Grove I always get 100%. I got my best run yet last week, went 196 miles, 21 with light on. (99 GX)
