Funny thing is Gisele is now doing commercials for VW's popular car, the Gol (no F, just Gol). Guess who's with her? Sylvester Stallone. I don't get it either.

Why is it that it's the White House that was driving this legislation forward? Could it be that Bush is one of the few in DC that actually practice conservation in their lifestyle outside the Beltway? I agree with Sylvester on keeping your big vehicles. I do not plan to drive on the highways in a over priced econobox like the Civic or Prius. They are just not as safe as a big PU or SUV when driven as designed. I would buy a small car for all the trips to the grocery store etc. An EV with a top speed of 45 MPH would do just fine for those ventures away from home. My Sequoia with a V6 Diesel would be ideal. Unfortunately the government does not consider fuel economy in larger vehicles of any importance.
1995 Toyota Tercel
by yparker on Mon Nov 05 10:07:17 PST 2007
I am the proud owner of a 1995 Toyota Tercel. My daughter purchased it for me almost three years ago, and it was love at first sight! It is white, 2-door and very sporty looking. Although it is 12 years old, it looks brand new...and runs like it too! It had 98,000 miles on it then; it has 114,517 on it now....and runs fabuously! It has a Tweety Bird tag on front w/my name, "Yvonne," Black and Yellow Tweety Bird seatcovers, Tweety Bird steering wheel cover and Tweety Bird and Sylvester hanging from my rear-view mirror. There is just one thing. The front driver's side speaker cover is missing. It fit loosely when I got the car, and fell off several times when I opened or shut the door. One day I noticed it missing, and was never able to find it. I have been trying to find a replacement, to no avail. If anyone knows how or where I could find one, I would be forever grateful! Yvonne :)
Saturated Carpet for Unknown Reason
by slywun on Fri Jun 29 19:28:06 PDT 2007
I just noticed today that I have water coming up through the carpet in both the front and rear of the cabin (drivers side and all passenger areas - front and rear). I did not have the windows open and it certainly isn't caused by rain (hasn't rained in almost a week). I used a carpet cleaner and extracted about 2 gallons of water. When I pressed on the carpet the water immediately came to the surface. I am letting the car ait out but needless to say I'm pretty concerned. I bought the car in Nov 2006 and have not had any issues like this in the past. I'm wondering if it could be caused by the air conditioning (particularly since I started using it more with the start of summer). Anyone have any ideas? Thanks - Sylvester

Yeah, they are Rhodesian Ridgebacks and while they are strong and beautiful dogs, they don't have a lot of hair to keep them warm. Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Those are like one of the tallest dogs in the world next to the Great Dane & Deer Hound. :) I have a Cane Corso which is a pretty big dog and a Rotweiller/pitbull mix. He is a baby and is a awesome dog. The Cane Corso is named "Sly" after Sylvester Stallone cuz my name is Rocky, after him. ROTFLMAO  The Rot/Pit mix name is "Crawl" (long story) :confuse: Well that is what my Brother in-law named him and he had to give him to us because his wife joined the air force a few years ago and would be on the road a lot as you could imagine. Both like to ride in the car but here in the Tejas Panhandle for 7-8 months out of the year it's pretty warm so they will do fine in the bed of the truck because I don't do many outdoor activity's in the winter. ;) In other words, if I'm cold outside wearing shoes, pants and a long sleeve shirt, then chances are they will be too. Besides, they're jumpers so putting them in a bed without severely restricting their movement will mean that they may jump while the vehicle is in motion Yeah dogs can get cold if they are short-haired. I think their owner just spoils them. :P Well I can't say much because both of my dogs are pretty spoiled also. In the cab, they can be kept fairly content and aside from nose prints on the windows, they don't do much if any damage... Well just make sure you put some padding down on the leather so their sharp nails don't puncture the soft supple leather. ;) Rocky

Excellent post, Sylvester. You summarized the situation perfectly. I think GM will go bankrupt and liquidate, selling their manufacturing plants to a new company Sylvester Motors who will have no responsibility to support the GM retirees. Sylvester will then produce cars, sell them cheaply, and make a nice profit. The GM retirees will be left out in the cold. From what I can tell from reading the papers, that is what Bethlehem Steel did. Not a pretty picture, is it?
