1990 cadillac deville - wont start.
by mommie_of_2_08 on Wed May 14 00:35:14 PDT 2008
I have a deville, it wont start, i have checked into many possibilities, like checking for spark, (there is) New fuel pump, filter, and strainer, put new alternator in, new battary, so now i am looking into the fuel being the issue at hand. There is fuel going into the fuel rails, when they are compressed fuel is shooting out, so where it goes after there may be the problem? That i dont know. When there is fuel put directly into the throttle body, it will start up, then die when there is no more fuel in there, but when turning it over i get nothing along with that, we took the throttle body off, and under there are two pipe like things that go strait up under there, one of them are clean and have no grime or anything, the other however has sludge like stuff inside it,and when i attempt to start it that stuff sprays out, I dont know much about cars so im hoping someone will come across this and have an answer, I have ran outta things that people tell me it could be that its not...so im at a stand still and really would appreciate some advice...besides getting rid of it, ive put too much into it to want to do that. Please someone help!!!

I suspect if you came out here to look at cars, you'd come back with more than you could handle :P And that earlier Camarocamino in Spanaway...indeed. It would have to be there or Marysville.

Hey. fin I know you are in the Puget Sound area... so where did you go down I-5? A few hundred miles south would put you near Eugene, Oregon (home of the Ducks!). I often make a similar trip as I live in Spanaway and have a daughter in Eugene and a vacation home in the Roseburg area. I find it odd that you saw so many cops this weekend as it is the first weekend of the month. I know that law-enforcement types will swear that there are no longer ticket quotas, but my personal observation is that there are WAY more "speed traps" being run on the last weekend of the month than on all the remaining weekends combined. Despite the use of my Escort, I even picked up a ticket in the 50 zone of the Tirwillager curves in Portland about 6 months ago. Cops on I-5 in the Tacoma area don't seem to use radar. I have witnessed them pace and pull over 5 vehicles in the 5 years that I've lived up here. (I've seen more already stopped.... 5 actually paced and pulled over). What back roads did you take? I have on occasion taken "old 99" between Albany and Eugene when I had time to kill. I-5 is MUCH faster. james

I paid 31818 for mine w/destination included. As far as the upfront payment goes. You should be looking at 1st payment, license fees and security deposit only. Your trade in should allow you credit against your sales tax which will lower your payment considerably for several months of the lease. My lease was in the Seattle area which has been know to be a tougher place to get a good price. Good luck, Steve
