I'd check with Koala Motorsport. Brett Anderson almost certainly knows more about this subject than anyone else.

Have you ever attended any drivers schools such as the ones conducted by BMW CCA? If not, I seriously doubt that you are able to exploit more than 60% of the capabilities of a stock ZHP. Learning how to actually drive your car is a crucial first step. Only after you understand that Trailing Throttle Oversteer is NOT the band that used to open for REO Speedwagon should you start to put money into the car. At that point you should contact Brett Anderson at Koala Motorsport.

How far are you willing to travel? Search on my pasts posts and see what I did. Most of the dealers stock what they can sell the most of (obviously a good idea). The region gets what the area demands. Everybody around here seems to want leather, sunroof, 4WD so that's it. Down south it's hard to get 4WD because everybody wants 2WD. Edmunds has great info for the pricing etc. so you know what a good deal is. I knew the options I wanted exactly and priced it here and got the TMV of what everybody else was paying. My dealer (Fred Anderson in Raleigh NC) ordered what I wanted and beat the TMV as the initial offer. I was happy with that, no need to beat up an honest salesman who needs to make a living also. The local NY dealers told me load leveling rear end was not an "available" option even though the brochure listed it. Surprise! Fred Anderson had some SR5's in stock with load leveler (but not my color at the time) so he ordered it. I brought it to the NY dealer for my first service and they were dumbfounded that I got exactly what I wanted. The look on their face was priceless when they realized they lost almost 40K because these couple options were "not available". You can also try PA dealers because they are in a different region (Central Atlantic) as opposed to NY region, New England, Southern States are some of the others.

Do a search on my name for past posts. $100 or less gets you to MANY airports on Jetblue. Southern States Toyota dealers have mostly 2WD and have to order 4x4. I bought mine from Fred Anderson Toyota in Raleigh. It's 5 minutes from Raleigh Airport (RDU). Did EVERYTHING on phone and e-mail and it was an EXCELLENT experience. Even counting the cost of the ticket he was cheaper than the NY dealers and ordered exactly what I wanted which the NY dealers couldn't / wouldn't. Picked up the Sequoia and had nice relaxing, break in the motor drive home. Stopped in Virginia and picked up a Toyota Factory Extended Warranty (service plan) from Cliffy who was also great to deal with and was 1/2 price of what the NY dealers wanted for an "aftermarket" company plan (search here for Warranty Gold BANKRUPT). Definitely Search the web and keep your options / mind open.

I bought my Sequoia from Fred Anderson Toyota in Raleigh, NC. Go to their site and send an e-mail. I got a good deal on mine. The internet sales manager contacted me next day. The level of service he provided as compared to the dealers in NY was amazing. Beat the NY price but the best part was he got EXACTLY what I wanted. NY dealers couldn't/wouldn't with the packages they offer in this area. The experience there was great, I'll definitely buy from there next time I need another Toyota (even though it's 10 hours away)

With an availabilty date of 7-2 it might not be built yet. I purchased my Sequoia in NC (also part of Southeast Toyota Distributers) I special ordered mine (took 3 months) The availible date was 5-9 and was not built until 4-24. The VIN# showing might not be the "actual" VIN. There is a VIN generated when the build order goes in and then the "true" shows when it is built. Any SET dealer can find where that particular vehicle is being sent. Bad news is somebody might have special ordered the exact one that you are looking at and has waited 2 1/2 months already for it to be made and delivered. Your dealer would be able to verify this also. I live in New York and purchased from Fred Anderson Toyota in Raleigh NC. The internet Manager was EXTREMELY helpful, straight forward on prices, options and timeframe and gave me a better deal than I got from NY. He was also able to get exactely what I wanted when NY didn't even want to try. Many stereo places have and install DVD systems for about $1200. You could check some of your local shops if that is the only hold up.
