Re: PLEASE help me find a price for a New Accord LE or EX? [savagekei05]
by trucks4me2 on Mon Jul 11 22:01:56 PDT 2005
I too made a grreat deal on a '05 Accord Sedan V-6 leather no NAV. It took time, lots of reading these posts, studying Edmunds information and research to find the most up-to-date information. I then emailed several dealers in and out of my area for their quotes. Then I test drove some cars to meet the people I was dealing with and talk some more. I found out what a great deal would be before one was offered. I ended up with the car for $23540 +tax +lic= OTD $25,638.00. I am happy, the dealer is happy. It took time and persaverance but it works. I have done this two other times on a Silverado truck and Pontiac for the son. Good luck!! Stan
HAH Question
by trucks4me2 on Thu Feb 17 21:05:21 PST 2005
If I recall correctly when I test drove the HAH, the engine shut off when I came to a stop. Then after shifting the transmission into Park, the engine started again. This means when pulling into a parking space or the garage, when you stop you actually start the engine just to turn the key and shut it off again. For those that own an HAH, do you find this annoying or just another quirk to get used to?
Re: Has anyone bought a Honda Pilot Washington state? [dezinho]
by bassett on Fri Dec 10 17:52:52 PST 2004
I have been looking for a honda pilot EXL for about a month now and the lowest quote is $29900. That was thru Costco pricing. I am from Oak Harbor and have been calling all dealers throughout the state. Most have been $30500. All are too high in my opinion. Have had 2 call backs after I told them I can't do business at that price. will be calling tonight. Good luck. Any info for me would be greatly appreciated.
2004 Honda Accord high cold idle problem
by herbaderb on Wed Sep 29 15:36:22 PDT 2004
Honda Accord fast idle I have a new 2004 Accord LX that idles at 1500 rpm when cold and therefore bolts down the road when put in drive. The idle also jumps to 2100 rpm on occasions. When the car is put in gear and the automatic forces the motor to slow down to 750 rpm, the motor tries to speed up. In several tests, it reached 60 MPH easely without touching the throttle. The Honda technician tells me that even a 2 minute wait is normal. (Every time the car is parked for more than a 1/2 hour? 2 minutes is a very long time.) When warm (a minute or 2 later) all is o.k.. How do I slow this puppy down when first starting without having to apply the brakes? More importantly, does anyone know what the cold idle RPM spec is and how is it controlled? by computer and sensors? Which sensor? Any solutions? Different issue. The seat lowers by itself with time. It appears to be pneumatic. Has anyone dealt with this problem? Herb V
2001 2500HD
by trucks4me2 on Sat Jul 14 18:54:46 PDT 2001
Mileage on my 2001 2500HD, 6.0, EC, 4X4, 4.10 is about 12.5 city and 14.5-15.5 hiway. The piston slap (or whatever it is) doesn't usually start till around 5,000 miles which is when mine started. A can of STP makes it go away. Stan
