Andre, you have to be the Warren Buffet of the old car world---"buy cars when people are fearful, sell cars when they are over-confident". Seriously though, it's not a good time to sell an old car unless the supply/demand ratio on what's in your garage is pretty extreme. Case in point: At Monterey this summer, somebody sold a 1956 Porsche 356A coupe for $61,000? A home run, right? Wrong. He had just spent $70,000 restoring it. Had it been an old '56 Alfa that Carroll Shelby raced as a young man, well, different story. There's only one of those.

Thanks Tagman! Appreciate the helping hand from the left coast. Put you right behind Pete Carroll in my book. It's cool. The A4 pics were for (besides my wife, who is smitten) md4_cow (I may have typed that wrong, going from memory). OK. ;) TM

went to a friend's shoreline cottage. parked on the lawn next door was a 2 seater coupe. very short, front engine, kind of sloped roof back. i think a fiberglass body(not sure), rear lights were round with 3 double spokes and a small center reflector. i'm guessing ford powered. due to the bullitt mustang style rims and a plate surround the had '1965' at the top, and 'carroll shebly sales' at the bottom. i thought maybe tvr or griffith. :confuse:

My wife's grandfather's first and middle name are Carroll Shelby. I wonder how much I could get for his 1984 Olds Delta 98.

As long as it's really Carroll Shelby's car and not that of Carol Shelby the elderly widow who used to race MGs before she was married. Anybody interested in Jon Voight's 1983 Chrysler Town and Country convertible?
