Yeah..it does look like a GTO....kinda stands out from the rest of those pedestrian sedans and wagons. Is that an airport? It's not an airport but the Northern terminus of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel at Cape Charles VA @ the foot of the Delmarva Peninsula. My wife calls it the "Bridge-Tunnel-Bridge-Tunnel" since it goes underwater at several points to allow big ships to use Hampton Roads. Stephen is right, those (non-functional) scoops are an easy way to distinguish the Goat from the LeMans from a distance. Fintail is right too, the photo was likely shot in '64 or early '65. A few years later any group of cars this size would certainly have included a VW, Volvo or something else from across the ocean, you are looking at the end of Detroit's Golden Age. I'm not sure of the Dodge behind the Poncho, it could be a '58 or '58. Note the open position of the rear tail window in the '59 Ford Wagon. A/C was far from universal in that era.

Just thought I'd put my 2 cents in as well. Bought a 2008 TL 3.2 in September. I drive 50 miles a day. about 55% highway and 45% surface roads. Having said that, I live in Hampton Roads (Virginia Beach, Norfolk) and the highway is RARELY above 35 mph. I drive I would estimate conservatively. I've been getting 24.8 MPG on 5 tanks. I did just do a short trip to Williamsburg and it looks like I got over 27. Not bad at all. Scott - Virginia Beach.

So far it seems to work very well. Our first real test is today, we are going to Chincoteague and I'm hoping it will make it easier to get through the Norfolk Hampton Roads area. We are known for making wrong turns during that stretch. It was easy to set up and seems to be very responsive and accurate. So far I'm very pleased with it.
Just got a 2008 EX in Richmond, VA

Thanks to everyone here, I decided to take the plunge and pick up an Odyssey. Living in Hampton Roads, the best offers I got were from Northern VA. I dealt with a lot of dealers, but decided to go w/ West Broad Honda in Richmond. They were about $200 higher than my other best offer, but an hour closer, and more importantly, I just got a better feeling from them. Final Price was: $22.450 for the car (not incl. $399 dealers fee), $23,650 OTD. I was planning on paying cash, but went w/ the 0.9% financing for 36 months They found me a Baltic Blue, and waived the dealer exchange fee. Overall they were a pleasure to deal with, and no surprises on the price when I went to seal the deal. Now I just need to sell my Pilot.
I completely understand..

GTX, I can completely understand when you say you're no longer buying American made cars, (I happen to love Ford Mustangs however...lol). We, unfortunately, purchased a 2002 Grand Am GT and ever since we bought it, it has been nothing but trouble. We just paid it off this month and it has broken down for the seventh time! The dealership and GM refuse to offer us any help so we have had to consult with a lawyer. Almost all of the problem seems to originate with the computer/ignition within the dashboard, (car won't start at all).

I don't live there. But I suggest going to an area where there are middle class people so you don't pay "Hamptons" prices. Try a tire chain or oil change chain. Brakes have to be inspected for state inspection anyway. May be worthwhile to have the dealer do the brakes since there are lots of cheap replacement parts being sold. The issue is whether you really need the brakes done.
